The Bible, in the New Testament book of Romans, says: “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he, that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11)

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s sermons conveys this same message: “Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. When you allow the Holy Spirit to inhabit your being, He rejuvenates your physical body, thereby blessing you with divine health. He lives in you with all of his glory and power.”




In 2 Corinthians 6:16, God says about His people: “…I will dwell in them, and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

First, He says, “I will dwell in them,” that means He will settle down in your body. This will only happen when you allow the Holy Spirit to live in you. Then He continues: “…and walk in them,” The Greek word emperipateo is used there in the original text and it means to perambulate; to walk up and down in a supervisory way, as an official assigned to a border would. That official keeps moving up and down along that border to see if there has been a breach, so He can fix it.


He further explains, “The Holy Spirit does this inside you: He perambulates within your body, and if anything goes wrong in it, He will fix it. If He needs to renew it, He will renew it. Hence, there will be no sickness, disease, or infirmity wreaking havoc on your physical body. Glory to God!”

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome believes that just as the scriptures say, the Holy Spirit lives within the human body. His presence in the physical body helps you ward against sickness, disease and infirmity and lets you live a healthy life. Are you suffering from any kind of illness?
