Arethese things not going on in the wor ld today? Fromthe time of Adam, to this age, man has been tryingto create an empire for himself and that is the causeof all the problems on ear th. The real war star tedfrom the time of Cain and Abel but were Cain andAbel not of the same parents? Simply because Godappreciated the offer made to Him by Abel, Cainbecame envious thinking that his pride of place asthe first son would be denied him and given to Abel.What is wrong with you people, even you from thesame parentage? Why can you not appreciate eachother? Because Abel's wife and children were moreappealing to the eyes than that of Cain, he becameangry. This equally happens happens between sonand father. If a son is given an exalted position thatseems higher than him in any capacity, the fatherwill fume and protest. This is the true cause ofproblem in the world. Everybody is struggling forpower, everybody wants an empire where he can 4. reign. So, it is always one man struggling againstanother man.Is that spirit of animosity not still in you now?Remove the peg in your eye first so that you will seeclearly the log in another man's eye. This animosityis so rife that if two friends embark on a trade andone of them makes more gain, the other friend willimmediately develop hatred and star t waging waragainst him. This same hatred applies where onefriend or sister is taken in mar riage. The one notmar ried will no longer want to hear anything good orassociate with the other friend any longer.Read Matthew 2:1-3"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea inthe days of Herod the king, behold there came wisemen from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is hethat born king of the Jews? for we have seen hisstar in the east, and we are come to worship him.When Herod the king had heard these things, He wastroubled, and all Jerusalem with him."Have you heard that? Is that not what is causingtrouble in the entire world? If there is any one ofyou that is not plagued with this disease, he shouldindicate. LET ME TELL YOU NOW THAT AS SOON ASYOU KILL THAT DEVILISH SPIRIT IN YOU, YOU AREFREE. In the fellowship set-up, if you are deposed asa chairman, and your friend is elected to take overfrom you, you will be annoyed. You will not befriendly with him again, and from that day, spiritualwar has commenced. You will say, "I thought that 5. you were my friend, I never knew that you werescheming to depose me." He will bet with thechairman-elect and will do everything possible toensure that he does not stay in that office. That isthe rivalry among men in the entire world. I nowimplore you to ostracize this canker worm.BE CAREFUL:Recall that the Jews were afraid to be conquered bythe Romans hence their action against Christ butcould they prevent the Romans from invading themand up till this moment do they have any ter ritory?Consider the case of Joseph. Why did his brotherssell him out? Was it not because of hatred resultingfrom his dreams? He dreamt and saw eleven bundlesof wood which belonged to his brothers falling downto worship his own bundle wood. That is why todayyou have to be careful of the discussion you sharewith your friends. If you have three issues todiscuss, you may discuss only one. Even then, youwill be called a cunning person, that you are notstraightforward person. Why should you be? If youdisclose everything to him, will he not plot to killyou? If you go to the market and on your return youshare your experience with your friend, do you thinkyou are saved? Would he not find ways of deprivingyou of your gains? He will surely do it. If you have ahusband and you tell your friend how nice he is toyou, would she not plot to snatch him from you? Thatis the problem we are facing in the wor ld. Thereforewe should decide now on a remedy to it because thisdangerous canker worm has eaten deep into the 6. fabrics of our system.The experience of Joseph should be a serious lessonto us. The first time, he dreamt of how elevenbundles of wood belonging to his brothers boweddown to his. The second time, he dreamt how elevenstars, sun, and moon fell down and bowed down tohim. The brothers understood these dreams andtheir connotations and wondered if he was actuallysane? They asked, does it mean that we, the grownups are those to bow to him? They vowed againstsuch event. But could they prevent the will of God?To find out if that evil spirit was still in his brothers,Joseph told them to come with their last brothernext time, if they wanted to buy corn.However, they did not recognize Joseph nor knew hisintentions but as they wanted to go for the purchasethe next time, they informed their father of whatJoseph said to them. Their father suspected theyintended to sell the boy just as they sold Joseph. Hedid not release Benjamin to them. Consequently,they were starving to such a point that the fathercould no longer bear it. He had to release Benjaminto but warning them that they would be heldresponsible if anything happened to him. To fur therknow if the brothers had repented completely,Joseph hid a piece of gold in one of their bagsalready filled with corn. He wanted to know if theywill discover the gold and probably kill Benjamin sothat he may not share in it.POWER AND GREED, THE BANE OF THE WORLD: 7. So brethren, it is power and greed that is preventingyou from entering this kingdom and there is no otherproblem facing the wor ld more than this. If you donot cure this disease now, it is a pity for you.Immediately you are able to remove this dangerousspirit from you, all is well.What do you think made Herod to mercilessly killsuch a large number of innocent children? Was it notbecause of the same evil spirit? Immediately heheard that a the king to succeed him would be born,he ordered his men to watch over the city and repor tback to him should such an event take place.Accordingly, when the new king was born it wasrepor ted to him. He was to troubled that he had tosend his soldiers to go and kill all the male childrenof that suspected age. Everywhere in thegovernment, in your local government Council, andeven here in Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, is itnot the same problem of scrambling for power? Butthe one that baffles me most is the one inBrotherhood. If I dare to call on one sister twice,people will ask, "Who is this one again, where is shecoming from? Problems has star ted. He was so influential thathe saw himself as the next in command and the oneto take over from God. Thus he vowed never to bowdown to any man and it is this spirit that has beentroubling man from time immemorial. NOW THEFATHER HAS COME. SO WHOEVER SUBMITS TO HISCOMMANDMENT WILL BECOME THE FIRST BORN OFGOD AND WILL DWELL WITH HIM FOREVER.Read Matthew 7:5" Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam from youreyes and then you will see clear ly to cast out themote from your brother's eye."THE ERA OF PERFECTION:The text read out to you is the centerpiece of ourBible lecture. This is an era of perfection, thereforewhat is wor th doing is wor th doing well, else, ifanother person comes to improve upon your work,you will develop hatred for him. Goddoes not save us because we are wealthy butbecause we do not despise or hate one another.THEREFORE SHOW REMORSE FOR YOUR ANIMOSITYAND YOUR WAY TO THE KINGDOM IS SURE.BE REMORSEFUL:When Joseph hid something in one of the brother'sbags he wanted to tempt to see if they were still intheir old habit. So when he later demanded it fromthem, he realized that it was still there and thatthey were still frank with him. That in essencemeans that they were remorseful of what they did tohim and because of that he forgave them.SO BRETHREN, RIGHT FROM THIS MOMENT IF YOUARE REMORSEFUL OF YOUR INIQUITIES, YOU WILLOBTAIN THAT FORGIVENESS AND YOUR PROBLEMSWILL BE OVER, BUT IF YOU CONTINUE TO OCCUPYYOUR MIND WITH IT THEN, THEN YOU ARE VERY FARAWAY FROM THIS KINGDOM AND YOU ARE NOTSAVED. IF YOU TURN A NEW LEAF AND BECOME LIKE 10. If you learn fromme you will find that I am not coming here to beserved by anybody, I rather serve you. I hold waterfor you to wash your hands, I sweep, I do everythingfor you. So you who want people to do everything foryou, who taught you that? As I am serving you, youtoo should serve others.YOU PROBLEM BEGINS IMMEDIATELY YOU BEGIN TOASPIRE FOR A BIGGER POSITION, WHILE YOURGROWTH BEGINS THE MOMENT YOU BEGIN TOSTOOP DOWN LOW AND CONSIDER YOURSELF AS ASERVANT AND ACCEPT TO BE USED AS A TOOL.Read Matthew 20:28 11. "And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saithunto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, theone on your right hand, and the other on the left, inthy kingdom. But Jesus answered and said, Ye knownot what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup thatI drink of and to be baptised of the baptism that Iam baptised with? They say unto him, We are ableto. So if, any of you came here tobe made a Christ servant or Pastor, such a person is 12. walking directly into hell.There was a cer tain chief who got baptised intoBrotherhood of the Cross and Star but on hearingthat song which says, "Everything that flies in thesky and moves on ear th is under the rulership ofOlumba," he went back to his domain very angry. Hequickly returned his membership card to theBrotherhood of the Cross and Star members in thatvillage. He told them, "Let the rulership of yourFather stop where he is ruling but as far as this mykingdom is concerned, he does not reign here. If itis because I have been baptised into his church,take your card." He dropped the card and left. Butsoon after he did that he was dethroned and evenmanhandled by his subjects. To his chargrin, beforethe new king mounted the throne, he rushed and gotbaptised into Brotherhood of the Cross and Star andeven requested the government to come and erect aCathedral for Brotherhood in that town.SO THOSE WHO HAVE PROBLEMS ARE THOSE WHOARE CONTESTING FOR POSITIONS WITH THEFATHER. THEY COME HERE WITH THEIR EYEBALLSREMOVED FROM THEIR SOCKETS, WANTINGEVERYBODY TO RECOGNISE THEM AND FALL DOWNAND WORSHIP THEM WHERE AS THOSE WHO ENJOYTHIS KINGDOM ARE THOSE WHO ARE HAVING APEACEFUL LIFE. THEY ARE THOSE WHO COME ANDSIT ON THE FLOOR, NOT LOOKING FOR POSITION ORCONTEST ANYTHING. THEY SUBJECT THEMSELVESCOMPLETELY TO THE POWERS THAT BE IN THISKINGDOM. YOU FIND THAT THOSE WHO COME HERE 13. TO LOOK FOR POSITION ARE THOSE WHO AREALWAYS COMPLAINING AND OF COURSE, THEY DONOT LAST HERE.You will also find that those who come here withtheir wives and children are often surprised thattheir children no longer call them father except theFather here and their wives no longer call themthose sweet names but refer them to the Father. Sothey begin to wonder if the Father was taking theirwives and away from them. They say their childrenno longer recognize them and if that is the case theyhave to abandon this Church and go to another one.That is the problem the entire world is facing.THIS IS THE TIME FOR EVERYBODY TO ACCEPT HISRULERSHIP FOR HE HAS COME PERSONALLY, ANDWHOEVER ACCEPTS HIM WILL NEVER HAVE ANYPROBLEMS. In Nigeria there is a political problem,economic problem, and social problems but theseproblems are not beyond God. He can stay right hereand utter a word and another president is sworn in.He can stay right here and utter another word andthere is economic boom, new oil discoveries, cashflow and everything will be well and the country willflow again with milk and honey. GOD IS CAPABLE OFDOING ALL THESE THINGS BUT THE CONDITION ISTHAT EVERY MAN MUST ACKNOWLEDGE HISPRESENCE. IT IS NOT YOUR POSITION TO STRUGGLEFOR POSITION FOR THE OWNER OF THE POSITIONHAS COME. IT IS NOT YOUR POSITION TO SEEK TOBE SERVED BECAUSE YOUR SERVANT HAS ALREADYCOME. HE HAS COME TO SERVE YOU BUT THE 14. CONDITION IS FOR YOU TO ACCEPT THE RULERSHIPOF HE WHO HAS COME TO RULE.WHY YOU ARE SAVED:You are not saved because of your righteousness oranything whatsoever BUT BECAUSE OF THEHUMILITY IN YOU. If youare actually a teacher, why have you not taughtyourself ? You want to be a Christ Student and aChrist Servant, DO YOU KNOW THAT TO BE ANY OFTHESE REQUIRES STRICT ADHERENCE TO THE WORDOF GOD? WHICH OF THE INJUNCTIONS OF GOD HAVEYOU BEEN ABLE TO PRACTICALISE? IF ABRAHAM,MOSES AND THE REST OF THEM COULD NOT CLAIMTO BE ANYTHING, WHY MUST YOU CLAIM TO BEONE? GOD IS THE TEACHER, MASTER ANDEVERYTHING, AND THERE IS POSITION LEFT FORANY MAN TO OCCUPY. THAT IS WHY YOU AREADVISED TO LISTEN TO HIM ALONE, OTHERWISEYOU WILL BE INVARIABLY MAKING YOURSELF HISRIVAL AND THEREBY EXPOSING YOURSELF TODANGER.Read Luke 18:9-14 16. Whatever Hedeclares to be good is good and perfect, andwhatever He has not so declared, you have no rightwhatsoever to declare.Therefore, wherever He keeps you, sit down humblyand worship Him, and then everything will be wellwith you. But when you come aspiring to occupy HISPOSITION YOU ARE NEGOTIATING WITH DANGERAND YOU WILL BE AT LOGGERHEADS WITH HIM.GOD ALONE ELECTS:I have taught you extensively on humility but youseem not to hear. You will say I have been inBrotherhood of the Cross and Star for for ty years,we star ted Brotherhood and so on. WHAT HAS YOURCLAIMS TO DO WITH YOUR KEEPING THEINJUNCTIONS OF GOD? Even if you are a hundredyears old in Brotherhood, you still belong to Himbecause He created you. What happens to thefurniture you keep in your house? Can they claimownership of you? You are therefore God'sinstruments.IF GOD CANNOT TEACH YOU YOU CANNOTCOMPREHEND. IF HE DOES NOT EXALT YOU YOUCANNOT EXALT YOURSELF. ANYTHING HE DOES NOTAPPROVE OF, NO MAN CAN APPROVE. HE IS THEONLY ONE TO APPOINT YOU OR ELECT YOU. IF HE 18. DOES NOT ELECT YOU INTO HIS KINGDOM, YOUCANNOT COME IN.Read John 6:44-45No man can come to me, except the Father whichhath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at thelast day.
