Transfigured Before ThemMat 17:1-3 ESV And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. Six or Eight Days?

Luk 9:28 ESV Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him Peter and John and James and went up on the mountain to pray.

Six days after the conversation recorded in the last chapter. Luke says, "about an eight days." About, not exactly. Luke's eight days include the fractional days at the beginning and end of the day of the conversation and the day of transfiguration. Matthew's six days are the six complete days intervening between them. (B.W. Johnson)

Transfigured?metamorphoo - Our English word metamorphosis. “To change into another form, to transform, to transfigure” (Thayer) Here to change appearance.

Exo 34:29-30 ESV When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God. (30) Aaron and all the people of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.

Many great men, but ONLY ONE SON of GOD

No Fear in Christ1Jn 4:14-18 ESV And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (18) There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

Rom 6:3-6 ESV Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? (4) We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. (5) For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. (6) We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
