• Almost 88% of Indian Economy is unorganized– The companies, big or small, that we want to work for

constitute only 12% of the economy

• Over 70% of Indian population is non-urban and reasonable chunk is well-off– Majority is still looking for basic amenities and services

• In 2009, – The number of work Visas issued to foreigners to work

in India is more than number of Visas Indians applied for, to work abroad!!

– Over 30,000 Korean children are studying in Indian Schools under South Korean Government’s Focused program


So what are the implications?• India is a vast nation with immense possibilities• High potential to organize the unorganized• The world is heading to India to take advantage of

• Sow seeds of entrepreneurship at early stages so as to groom college students as job creators and not job seekers

• Provide incubation facilities (mentoring, funding…) to select participants


Young Managers Entrepreneurship Program

(YMEP)The Program stems from the basic philosophy of CL/IWSB to create an ecosystem which enables entrepreneurial leaders and managers.

– Entrepreneurial journey is seen by IWSB as a deep inside-out journey.

– It’s a journey, which entails manifestation of individual experience sharing as pedagogy to understand and gain from personal entrepreneurial path.

– The learning, realization, failures etc will help the community (students, facilitators and working professionals) fell and imbibe entrepreneurial spirit’ which is central to the core concept.

Indus World School of Business anchored the TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program 2010 for TiE Delhi/NCR

TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Global Program coaches and trains young high school students to become the next generation entrepreneurs.

The program was held in 9 cities around the world – Atlanta, Boston, Carolinas, Seattle, San Diego and Austin London, Delhi and Jaipur.

The TYE Delhi team from Delhi won the third in the global b’plan competition
