A BIT OF HISTORY OF ISLAM

• Muhammed [M] was born in Saudi Arabia in 570 A.D.

• M’s father died before he was born.• M’s mother died when he was 6 years old.• M’s grandfather died when M was 8 years old.• M’s uncle, Abu Talib, a businessman, took

custody of Muhammed when he was 10.• M’s first employment was to protect the Ka’aba

along side his other tribesmen.

Page 3: Islam Vs Christianity

• The Ka’aba is a large black stone in Mecca, Saudia Arabia. It is today considered to be a holy shrine.

• In M’s day it was believed to house pagan idols.• Ultimately Muhammed became a prominent

businessman involved in international trade.• M got his start in Mecca.• In 595 A.D. during a business trip to Syria, M met

Khadijah, a well-to-do widow 15 years his elder and he married her.

Page 4: Islam Vs Christianity

• Khadijah was Muhammed’s first convert to Islam.• It is believed that he and Khadijah had a

monogamous marriage until she died.• After Khadijah’s death M took 11 women as either

wives or concubines.• M married his last wife at age 50—but she was

only a child of age 6.

Page 5: Islam Vs Christianity

• In 610 A.D. (M was 40 yrs old) M had a vision. He believed that the angel Gabriel came and gave him instructions which are recorded in Surah 96:1-5 of the Qu’ran.

• M claimed that he was told by Gabriel that he was a prophet, that the world had abandoned true worship, and that he was to bring the final message to the world.

Page 6: Islam Vs Christianity

The Message:

• 1. All religions on earth were corrupt;• 2. M was to proclaim the worship of the one

true God, named Allah;• 3. M was to receive the true words of Allah,

record them, and bring people back to the “straight path.”

Page 7: Islam Vs Christianity

• The Hadith of Bukheri records that “Khadijah convinced Muhammed that this was a message from Allah, and not a demonic oppression.

• Eventually this day of Gabriel’s visitation would become marked by Ramadan, the most sacred month of Islam.

• (See: The Popular Encyclopedia of Apologetics, ed. Ed Hindson and Ergun Caner, (Eugene, Oregon: Harvest House Pubs., 2008), pp. 278-281.

Page 8: Islam Vs Christianity

• In its early days Islam grew slowly since M was illiterate and had to use others to record his communications with “Allah”.

• The Hadith is a collection of writings that record details of M’s life and teachings.

Page 9: Islam Vs Christianity

• The first years of Islam were spent in Mecca. • At one point M claimed to have been taken on

a night trip into heaven. Here he was introduced to “all the prophets of Islam”.

• Moses and Jesus were included as prophets of Islam.

• While “in heaven” M was taught the details of daily prayers and the basics of Islamic faith.

Page 10: Islam Vs Christianity

THE FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM:1. The Creed (kalima) must be recited by the convert,

There is no God but Allah, and Muhammed is his final prophet.

2. Prayers (salat) must be offered five times a day in strictly prescribed fashion while facing Mecca.

3. Alms (zakat) equivalent to 1/40th of one’s income must be given to the cause of Islam.

4. Regular fasting (sawn) must take place, especially during the month of Ramadan.

5. A pilgrimage to Mecca (hajj) must be made during the life of every Muslim.

Page 11: Islam Vs Christianity

ISLAM IS A TOTAL WORLDVIEW

• Islam means “surrender” or “submission”.• Islam does not mean “peace” as the

politicians so dearly want us to believe.• Islam directs every aspect of a person’s life:

your beliefs, diet, clothing, music, behavior at home and in public, work, politics, etc. which means that Islam and democracy are not able in any way to co-exist.

Page 12: Islam Vs Christianity

• Islam demands total submission of unbelievers (unbelievers are called: the kafir).

• Kafir must pay a confiscatory tax (jizyat), they are not allowed to hold a public office, they are not allowed to marry Muslim women, but must allow Muslim men to marry their daughters, existing churches are not allowed buy land or add to buildings and can be destroyed at the slightest complaint of a Muslim, cannot ring bells, are not allowed to evangelize Muslims, Christians must allow family members to convert to Islam, etc..

Page 13: Islam Vs Christianity

Islam has several “sects”

• Shi’a: followers of M’s son-in-law Ali since M had no living sons his blood line would be passed down through his daughters.

• Sunni: followers of M’s best friend, Abu Bakr.• Sufi: a hinduistic (New Agey) small sect of Islam.• Alawite: mostly in Syria.• Wahabi: Mostly Saudi Arabia

Page 14: Islam Vs Christianity

• Saddam Husein: Sunni• Iran (Persia) Shi’a.• Islam repudiates and renounces all other gods

including the God of Christianity and Judaism.• The Qu’ran teaches that the 5th and 6th levels

of hell are reserved for Christians and Jews who reject Islam.

Page 15: Islam Vs Christianity

• Islam insists that “Allah” is the one true God.• Allah is transcendent (not personal).• Allah is completely separate from everything else.• The Bible is corrupt. This corruption led to the belief

that Jesus was the only begotten Son of God. This is called “shirk” (blasphemy) in the Qu’ran, Sura 5:72.

Page 16: Islam Vs Christianity

THE QUR’AN HAS TWO BASIC PARTS:

• Part of the Qur’an was written in Mecca early in Muhammad’s life and before he had his army.

• The Mecca portion of the Qur’an speaks of peace and unity of peoples.

• The second part of the Qur’an was written later in Muhammad’s life in Medina after he had established his brutal army. This part teaches that anyone who does not convert to Islam is an infidel and must be destroyed. This is Jihad.

Page 17: Islam Vs Christianity

What are some Biblical differences between Islam and Christianity, between the Qur’an

and the Bible?

Page 18: Islam Vs Christianity

Genesis 1:31

31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.

And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Page 19: Islam Vs Christianity

Then came sin and The Curse

14And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3:14-15

Page 20: Islam Vs Christianity

The seed (Jesus) of the woman (Eve) will one day crush the head of the serpent (Satan),

but the seed (Jesus) of the woman will only have a temporary wound at the hand of

Satan [crucifixion, but then, RESURRECTION!]

• 15And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it [the seed of the woman] shall bruise thy [Satan’s] head, and thou [Satan] shalt bruise his [Messiah’s] heel. Genesis 3:15

Page 21: Islam Vs Christianity

Jesus is the true genetic “seed” of the woman.

Page 22: Islam Vs Christianity

Galatians 4:4-7

4But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Page 23: Islam Vs Christianity

Hebrews 2:14-18

14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he [Jesus] also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

Page 24: Islam Vs Christianity

Hebrews 2:14-18 continues:

• 17Wherefore in all things it behoved him [Jesus] to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

Jesus: the promised seed of Abraham[Selected verses from Luke’s genealogy of Jesus]

• Luke 3:23: “23And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son[-in-law] of Heli,…

• Luke 3:34: “34Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, [not Ishmael] which was the son of Abraham,…

• Luke 3:38: “38Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.”

Page 26: Islam Vs Christianity

Isaiah 59:20

20And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

Page 27: Islam Vs Christianity

Isaiah 7:14

14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Page 28: Islam Vs Christianity

Luke 1:30-35

30And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

[Jesus is born of a virgin as foretold by Isaiah]

Page 29: Islam Vs Christianity

Jesus was VIRGIN-BORN.

14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and

shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14).[to see other uses of “almah”=“virgin” see below]

16And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her…(Gen.24:14.

43Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, …(Genesis 24:43)

Page 30: Islam Vs Christianity

Luke 1:30-35 32He [Jesus] shall be great, and shall be called the

Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33And he

shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34Then said

Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man (virgin)? 35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon

thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the

Son of God.

Page 31: Islam Vs Christianity

Matthew 1:20-23

20But while he [Joseph] thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Page 32: Islam Vs Christianity

Matthew 1:20-23 22Now all this was done, that it might be

fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Jesus is Emmanuel Who is God with us!Jesus is God the Son!

Matthew 1:6, 16: Genealogy of Joseph, Mary’s husband

6And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;…

16And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. Jesus inherited the royal rights to the throne of

David through His legal [not biological] father, Joseph, who was a direct descendent of King David

through his son, Solomon.

Page 34: Islam Vs Christianity

Luke 3:23, 31, 38: Genealogy of Mary

23And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son [-in-law] of Heli,

31Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David,

38Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

Page 35: Islam Vs Christianity

Jesus: the legal and royal heirto the throne of King David

• Jesus inherited the legal rights to the throne of David through his biological mother, Mary, who was a descendent of David’s son, Nathan.

• Nathan was the royal heir to David’s throne by birth order—Nathan was Solomon’s older brother. Solomon’s blood line had been refused David’s throne because of the sin of Jeconiah (see: Jeremiah 22:24-30; 33:14-17)

Page 37: Islam Vs Christianity

• The “seed of the woman”, Eve, would one day crush the head of the serpent, Satan.

• The “seed of the woman”, Mary, is Jesus, her virgin- born first child (Emmanuel: “God with us”).

• Jesus fulfilled the prophecies that said the Messiah would inherit the throne of King David: Jesus was the legal and royal heir to David’s throne.

• Jesus is the last of the Davidic line=he never marr- ied and had no children. He is the end of the line!

• The Lord Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah!!!!• Jesus is GOD THE SON, GOD WITH US!!!!

Page 38: Islam Vs Christianity

• Islam claims that Jesus was the son of Mary and that He was a prophet, but not God the Son and not the crucified and resurrected Son of the God of the Bible.

Page 39: Islam Vs Christianity

Islam’s Qur’an, Yahya Bin Shamoon

• “[Muhammed] firmly believed that he was the prophet of Allah and Jesus was not the Son of God and that the Quran was the revealed Word of God” (see: Suras [chapters] 3:59, 5:72, 110-119, and 10:95, 96).

• Muhammed was familiar with the message of the Bible.

Page 40: Islam Vs Christianity

Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris (May 13, 2005)• "We have ruled the world before, and by Allah, the

day will come when we will rule the entire world again. The day will come when we will rule America. The day will come when we will rule Britain and the entire world - except for the Jews. The Jews will not enjoy a life of tranquility under our rule... the day will come when everything will be relieved of the Jews... listen to the prophet Mohammad, who tells you about the evil end that awaits the Jews: 'The stones and trees will want the Muslims to finish off every Jew.'"

Page 41: Islam Vs Christianity

• What is the Islamic motivation? There are three motivations for the Arab desire to annihilate the Jews and retake both Israel and Jerusalem.

Page 42: Islam Vs Christianity

• 1) A portion of the Koran states that once a land has been conquered for Allah, it must remain an Islamic land. The Arabs conquered the land and city in the Middle Ages when they drove the Crusaders out. They now feel compelled by the Koran to reconquer it.

Page 43: Islam Vs Christianity

• 2) The re-establishment of the state of Israel is viewed by Muslim clerics as a judgment of God upon the Arab peoples for their lack of faithfulness to Islam. They must redeem themselves from this judgment by returning to the fundamentals of Islam and then, having been spiritually revived, Allah will empower them to regain both the land and the city.

Page 44: Islam Vs Christianity

• 3) Arabs believe that their control of Jerusalem and its Temple Mount will certify their superiority over both Judaism and Christianity.

This kind of thinking cannot be reasoned with, it cannot be appeased, it cannot be bargained with. Such hatred is evil and Satanically motivated in origin.

Page 45: Islam Vs Christianity

Will the Muslims finally act on their hatred?

Yes. Ezekiel 38 & 39 prophecys that Russia and the Islamic nations will ally and mount a titanic offensive against Israel. At a population ratio of 662 to 1, Israel has no chance. But, God will personally intervene so the nations will know that He is the LORD (39:7). The slaughter of the Russian/Islamic army will be so complete that it will take Israel 7 months to bury the dead (39:12), and the equipment and fuel left will supply Israel’s fuel needs for 7 years (39:9).

Page 46: Islam Vs Christianity

Ezekiel 38-39

• Islam will experience a defeat so overwhelming and so humiliating that the

eyes of millions of Muslims will be opened to the fact that Allah is a false god. At that point their hearts will be opened to the true God - a God of loving kindness who came to this earth

and died for the sins of Mankind.• He is the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ

Page 47: Islam Vs Christianity

• How should we pray?1) Let us pray for our leaders, that they will be able

to discern the spiritual nature of the war we are engaged in.

2) Let us pray for the leaders of Israel, that they will turn to God for their protection and stop seeking it through America and through trying to appease an

enemy whose goal is to annihilate them.3) Let us pray for the Islamic world, that Muslims everywhere will have their hearts opened to the

Gospel.4) And let us daily cry out from the depths of our hearts, "Maranatha!" Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Page 48: Islam Vs Christianity

Ergun Caner, President of Liberty Theological Seminary and former Muslim says:

• Islam is best understood as a form of Medieval Mormonism.

• Joseph Smith and Muhammed assumed the classic stance of a cult.

• Both were going to replace and correct Christianity.• Both took the people of the Bible, changed the

stories of the Bible, omitted what they did not like and replaced the rest.

Page 49: Islam Vs Christianity

• Both Islam and Mormonism change significantly the teachings of the Bible.

• Both claim that Jesus was a prophet, but not God.• Both place their prophet as the final prophet.• Both deny the vicarious atonement of Jesus Christ.• Both deny salvation is by grace through faith and

not of works (Ephesians 2:8-10).• Both assess a 2nd class status to women, both

temporarily through polygamy and eternally as sexual servants (celestial brides in Mormonism and perpetual servant virgins in Islam.

Page 50: Islam Vs Christianity

• Both teach a different Jesus than the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible.

• The Qu’ran presents a Jesus (Isa) who declares his humanity in the cradle (Surah 5), denies his own divinity (Surah 19), and prophesies the coming of Muhammed (Surah 61).

Page 51: Islam Vs Christianity

• All cults attempt to either correct Christianity or replace Christianity, and all cults view themselves as the sole voice for God on the Earth. Islam does this as well.

• The Allah of the Qu’ran and the God of the Bible have little in common. Islam denies the Fatherhood of God, the divinity of the Son, and the person of the Holy Spirit.

Page 52: Islam Vs Christianity

• M was not ignorant concerning the Trinity; he specifically denied the Trinity, and in so doing, denied the God of the Bible. Those in the “Christian” community who desire to use Allah as a common name for “God” ignore a central understanding of Biblical salvation. Before a person can become saved, he must first recognize he is lost. Islam, like all other world religions, is not partially right. It is completely wrong.

Page 53: Islam Vs Christianity

THE TESTIMONY OF THE QUR’AN

The Qur’an teaches many truthful ideas about the Prophet Jesus of the Bible.

Three Surahs (chapters) are named after references to Jesus the Prophet.

Jesus is spoken of in fifteen Surahs (93 verses). Jesus is referenced more than any other

person in the entire Qur’an!

Page 54: Islam Vs Christianity

THE QUR’AN TEACHES:

• Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead (3:49, 5:113),

• Jesus was born of the virgin Mary (3:45-47, 23:50, 19:16-22),

• Jesus brought the Gospel to the Jewish people (3:49-51, 13:38),

• Jesus was an apostle and prophet of God (3:49, 6:85-90).

Page 55: Islam Vs Christianity

THE QUR’AN TEACHES:

• Jesus alone is supported by the Holy Spirit (2:87, 253),

• Jesus alone is called “the Word of God” (3:45, 4:171),

• Jesus alone is called “the Messiah” (3:45, 4:157, 172).

• Yet the Qur’an is not the primary and original testimony of Jesus….

Page 56: Islam Vs Christianity

• Many times the Qur’an states that God sent earlier revelations to the Jews and to the Christians.

• The earlier revelations referred to in the Qur’an are the Torah (Taurat), the Psalms (Zabur) and the Gospel (Injil).

• These earlier revelations give undeniable testimony to the God/Man, Lord Jesus Christ!

Page 57: Islam Vs Christianity

HAVE THE JEWISH AND CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURES BEEN CORRUPTED?

God sent His uncorrupted Scriptures more than 500 years before the Qur’an was written.

“He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this as a guide to mankind” (3:3-4).

“Say, ‘We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you’” (29:46; cf. 6:89, 2:136, 5:46-47, 7:157).

Page 58: Islam Vs Christianity

MUHAMMAD WAS FAMILIAR WITH GOD’S REVELATIONS TO THE CHRISTIANS AND THE JEWS [Old and New Testaments]

• “Say, ‘O People of the Book! Ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord’” (5:68; cf. 4:136, 10:94, 3:93, 5:46, 59, 68-69).

Page 59: Islam Vs Christianity

• It would be impossible for Christians and Jews to “stand fast” by the revelations of the Law and the Gospels unless these Scriptures were still in their possession during Muhammad’s lifetime.

Page 60: Islam Vs Christianity

• Many ancient copies exist of the Law and the Gospels that are dated centuries before Muhammad lived on the earth!

• Today these writings are known as the Old and New Testaments. The ancient manuscripts in Hebrew and Greek prove that the Bible of the 21st century has not been corrupted—it is the same that Muhammad said to “stand fast” in!

Page 61: Islam Vs Christianity

• Muhammad wrote in the Qur’an that the Qur’an was sent to “confirm” the Scriptures that God had sent beforehand: “This is a Book which We have sent down, bringing blessings, and confirming (the revelations)s which came before it” (6:92, cf. 2:40-41, 89, 91, 3:3).

Page 62: Islam Vs Christianity

• The Qur’an also claims that it “guards” the Scriptures of the Bible (5:51).

• If the Bible had become so thoroughly corrupted as many present day Muslims assert, how could Muhammad say that the Qur’an was to “confirm” and “guard” it

Page 63: Islam Vs Christianity

GOD’S REVELATIONS CAN NEVER BE CHANGED BY MEN

• According to the Qur’an, it is impossible for anyone to change or corrupt God’s revelations: “There is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of God” (6:34, cf. 6:115); “No change can there be in the words of God” (10:64 cf. 18:27).

Page 64: Islam Vs Christianity

• There is not a single verse in the entire Qur’an stating that the earlier Scriptures have ever been changed by men or abolished by God.

• True followers of Jesus believe that God is able to protect His Word from all attacks and slander.

Page 65: Islam Vs Christianity

Matthew 5:18 18“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and

earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

Page 66: Islam Vs Christianity

Matthew 24:35 35”Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my

words shall not pass away.” 2000 years later we still have the Words of

Jesus!!!!

Page 67: Islam Vs Christianity

What do the Scriptures say about Jesus?

The Old Testament prophets tell of God’s ancient plan to bless all nations through Abraham’s descendant, the coming “Messiah.”

The Injil testifies that Jesus is this Messiah, and that He was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead according to the prophets.

(1 Corinthians chapter 15)

Page 68: Islam Vs Christianity

• Jesus said: “These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me (Luke 24:44).

Page 69: Islam Vs Christianity

New Testament Scriptures

Page 70: Islam Vs Christianity

Messiah Jesus did many awesome miracles of healing and deliverance, even raising the

dead! His greatest sign was His own resurrection from the dead!

Page 71: Islam Vs Christianity

• What was Jesus’ testimony about Himself in these Scriptures that were earlier than the Qur’an and of which Muhammad said the “People of the Book” were to “stand fast” in them?

Page 72: Islam Vs Christianity

Jesus said:

I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on

me shall never thirst (John 6:35).I am the light of the world: he that followeth me

shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12).

Page 73: Islam Vs Christianity

Jesus said:

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26And whosoever liveth and

believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Jesus said:

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and

have seen him (John 14:6-7).

Page 75: Islam Vs Christianity

Jesus said:

11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 17Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my

life, that I might take it again. 18No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have

power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I

received of my Father (John 10:11, 17-18).

Page 76: Islam Vs Christianity

Mark 8:30-31 31And he [Jesus] began to teach them, that the

Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Page 77: Islam Vs Christianity

Mark 10:45 45For even the Son of man [Jesus] came not to

be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Page 78: Islam Vs Christianity

John 2:19-22

19Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21But he spake of the temple of his body. 22When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

Page 79: Islam Vs Christianity

John 5:24 24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth

my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Page 80: Islam Vs Christianity

Revelation 1:17-1817And when I saw him [Jesus], I fell at his feet as

dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Page 81: Islam Vs Christianity

Acts 3:24-26

24Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. 25Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. 26Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Page 82: Islam Vs Christianity

Acts 10:43 43To him [Jesus] give all the prophets witness,

that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

John the Baptist, Yahya, said in regard to Jesus:

29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

(John 1:29).

Page 84: Islam Vs Christianity

Matthew 16:15-17 15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I

am? 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Page 85: Islam Vs Christianity

John 1:1-3, 14

1In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made…. 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

What about you?Do you believe the prophets?

Why did God send us these revelations?

Jesus’ disciple John gives us the answer:31“But these are written, that ye might believe

that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his

John 14:1-3

1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me [Jesus]. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 6:37-4037All that the Father giveth me [Jesus] shall come to

me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. 38For I came down from heaven, not to do

mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose

nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40And this is the will of him that sent me, that every

one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at

the last day.

Acts 4:12-14 12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is

none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 13Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. 14And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
