PENDAHULUAN
Mother Teresa Religious sister
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, M.C., commonly known as Mother Teresa, was a Roman Catholic religious sister and missionary who lived most of her life in India. Wikipedia Born: August 26, 1910, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia Died: September 5, 1997, Kolkata, India Full name: Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu Awards: Nobel Peace Prize, Bharat Ratna, Order of Australia, More Siblings: Lazar Bojaxhiu, Aga Bojaxhiu Nationality: Ottoman, Indian
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, M.C.,[3] commonly known as Mother Teresa (26
August 1910 – 5 September 1997), was a Roman Catholic religious
sister and missionary[4] who lived most of her life in India. She was born in
today's Macedonia, with her family being of Albanian descent originating in
Kosovo.[5][6][7][8][9]
Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic religious
congregation, which in 2012 consisted of over 4,500 sisters and is active in 133
countries. They run hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and

tuberculosis; soup kitchens; dispensaries and mobile clinics; children's and
family counselling programmes; orphanages; and schools. Members must
adhere to the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience as well as a fourth vow,
to give "wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor".[10]
Mother Teresa was the recipient of numerous honours including the
1979 Nobel Peace Prize. In 2003, she was beatified as "Blessed Teresa of
Calcutta". A second miracle credited to her intercession is required before she
can be recognised as a saint by the Catholic Church.[3]
A controversial figure both during her life and after her death, Mother Teresa
was widely admired by many for her charitable works, but also widely criticised,
particularly for her efforts opposing contraception and for substandard
conditions in the hospices for which she was responsible
An ethnic Albanian born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu (Albanian: [aˈɲɛz ˈɡɔɲdʒe
bɔjaˈdʒiu]) (gonxha meaning "rosebud" or "little flower" in Albanian) on 26
August 1910, she considered 27 August, the day she was baptised, to be her
"true birthday".[15] Her birthplace of Skopje, now capital of the Macedonia, was
at the time part of the Ottoman Empire.[15][16] Her family continued to live in
Skopje until 1934 , when they moved to Tirana in Albania.[17]
She was the youngest of the children of Nikollë and Dranafile Bojaxhiu
(Bernai).[18] Her father, who was involved in Albanian politics, died in 1919 when
she was eight years old.[15][19] Her father may have been
from Prizren, Kosovo while her mother may have been from a village
near Yakova.[20]
Kiranya hidupnya menjadi teladan bagi kita. Tuhan Yesus memberkati.

TERESA QUOTES
WORD OF LOVE
Sejak semula tidak pernah sekali pun saya meminta imbalan. Saya
memberi (Mother Teresa)
Kita mengabarkan kepada orang-orang tentang betapa baiknya, betapa
maha pengampun, betapa penuh pengertiannya Allah, tetapi apakah
kita sudah menjadi bukti yang nyata? Dapatkah mereka sungguh-
sungguh melihat kebaikan, pengampunan, pengertian tersebut ada
dalam hidup/diri kita? (Mother Teresa)
DO IT ANYWAY
Tetapi teruslah berbuat baik (Mother Teresa)
3 |SERVANT LEADERSHIP
ketulusan hatimu (Mother Teresa)
HIDUP ADALAH
Hidup adalah kesempatan, manfaatkanlah.
Hidup adalah keindahan, kagumilah.
Hidup adalah kebahagiaan, nikmatilah.
Hidup adalah mimpi, sadarlah.
Hidup adalah tantangan, hadapilah.
Hidup adalah kewajiban, selesaikanlah.
Hidup adalah permainan, mainkanlah.
Hidup adalah sebuah janji, penuhilah.
Hidup adalah penderitaan, atasilah.
Hidup adalah kidung, nyanyikanlah.
Hidup adalah perjuangan, terimalah.
Hidup adalah tragedi, berjuanglah.
Hidup adalah petualangan, beranilah.
Hidup adalah keberuntungan, lakukanlah.
Hidup terlalu berharga, jangan dihancurkan.
Hidup adalah hidup, berjuanglah untuknya! (Mother Teresa)
4 |SERVANT LEADERSHIP
(Mother Teresa)
Ubahlah hatimu . . .
Bila kita tidak mau mengubah hati,
itu berarti tiada pertobatan dalam diri kita.
5 |SERVANT LEADERSHIP
Berpindah tempat tidak menyelesaikan persoalan.
Mengubah kedudukan, juga bukan jawaban
Jawaban sebenarnya ialah "Mengubah Hati". (Mother Teresa)
Buah dari doa adalah kedalaman iman.
Buah dari iman adalah cinta.
Dan buah dari cinta adalah pelayanan. (Mother Teresa)
COME BE MY LIGHT
Andai aku menjadi Orang Suci-pastilah aku salah satu orang suci untuk
'dunia gelap'. Aku akan terus-terusan absen dari Surga-untuk
menerangi mereka yang kegelapan di bumi." (Mother Teresa)

―I am not sure exactly what heaven will be like, but I know that when we die
and it comes time for God to judge us, he will not ask, 'How many good things

what you did?‖
― Mother Teresa
―Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a
beautiful thing.‖
― Mother Teresa
―Do not think that love in order to be genuine has to be extraordinary. What
we need is to love without getting tired. Be faithful in small things because it is
in them that your strength lies.‖
― Mother Teresa
―Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly
endless.‖
― Mother Teresa
―Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us

― Mother Teresa

expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes,
kindness in your smile.‖

―The most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved.‖
― Mother Teresa
―What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.‖

― Mother Teresa
―At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have
received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have
done.
We will be judged by "I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was
naked and you clothed me. I was homeless, and you took me in.‖
― Mother Teresa
―I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to
create many ripples.‖

―The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for
bread.‖

―The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being
unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with
medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love.
There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are
many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of
poverty -- it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There's a
hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God.‖
― Mother Teresa, A Simple Path: Mother Teresa
17 |SERVANT LEADERSHIP
―I'm a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, who is sending a love letter to
the world.‖
― Mother Teresa
―Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His
disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.‖
― Mother Teresa
―These are the few ways we can practice humility:
To speak as little as possible of one's self.
To mind one's own business.
Not to want to manage other people's affairs.
To avoid curiosity.
To accept contradictions and correction cheerfully.
To pass over the mistakes of others.
To accept insults and injuries.
To accept being slighted, forgotten and disliked.
To be kind and gentle even under provocation.
Never to stand on one's dignity.
To choose always the hardest.‖
― Mother Teresa, The Joy in Loving: A Guide to Daily Living
―If you are humble nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because
you know what you are.‖
― Mother Teresa
―I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do
great things.‖
― Mother Teresa
18 |SERVANT LEADERSHIP
―We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in
the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing
something.‖
― Mother Teresa
―God made the world for the delight of human beings-- if we could see His
goodness everywhere, His concern for us, His awareness of our needs: the
phone call we've waited for, the ride we are offered, the letter in the mail, just
the little things He does for us throughout the day. As we remember and notice
His love for us, we just begin to fall in love with Him because He is so busy with
us -- you just can't resist Him. I believe there's no such thing as luck in life, it's
God's love, it's His.‖

people are more content to just be, to just sit around under a banyan tree for
half a day chatting to each other. We Westerners would probably call that
wasting time. But there is value to it. Being with someone, listening wihtout a
clock and without anticipation of results, teaches us about love. The success of
love is in the loving -- it is not in the result of loving.

all things, doubting nothing, for with God all things are possible. We will allow
the good God to make plans for the future, for yesterday has gone, tomorrow
has not yet come, and we have only today to make him known loved, and
served. Grateful for the thousands of opportunities Jesus gives us to bring hope
into a multitude of lives by our concern for the individual sufferer, we will help

anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere
anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and
them anyway.

consist of being hungry for bread, but rather it is a tremendous hunger for
human dignity. We need to love and to be somebody for someone else. This is
where we make our mistake and shove people aside. Not only have we denied
the poor a piece of bread, but by thinking that they have no worth and leaving
them abandoned in the streets, we have denied them the human dignity that is
rightfully theirs as children of God.‖
