Welcome
to
Chapel by the Sea
The Windows Of Chapel.
This week’s window:
“The Pelican Window”
It is located in the Sanctuary, on the
congregation’s right

This window reflects our
island community.
The Windows Of Chapel.
It also reflects our Christian community – the Pelican is
an ancient Christian symbol.
Ancient people once believed
that the pelican fed her young with her own
blood in times of famine.
This reminded people of the Sacrifice of
Christ.
You can also find the pelican on
one of the cushions on
bench cushions behind the pulpit.
