What is Islam?

• Islam is based on a belief in only one God, and Muhammad as their Last Prophet.

• The Muslim's holy book is the quran and a they are required to read it daily to be good Muslim

What Impact Did Islam have on the Middle East?

• Islam brought love and peace in the middle east soon after the Turks controlled the whole empire.

• After a few hundred years the Turks went to a holy war with the Christians called the Crusades.

• The crusades lasted 4 battles and the Muslims won 3 of them which gave them ultra power of the middle east.

Muslim heritage

• Muslims originated in Mecca in the time of Muhammad.

• Muhammad claimed that he saw an angle that told that he was the last prophet of god.

• The angle also said that Jesus was not the son of god, he was the savior instead the angle said.

• Muhammad started teaching his new religion to the public.

How far did Islam Spread

• Islam was so powerful that it completely owned the middle east

• It spread faster and farther than Christianity ever did.

• Islam had forced many people to be Muslim or be executed.

How Did Islam Start?

• According to Muslim belief, Muhammad was praying in a cave, until the angel Gabriel came and told him he was the Last Prophet

• Muhammad soon spread the new religion Islam.

What Muslims do for Islam

• Today’s Muslims go through a lot to prove themselves worthy to God.

• These Muslims are called extremists or jihadists.

How does Islam Differ From Other Religions?

• Islam has many of the same beliefs, like prophets, prophecies, and ideas of God.

• The only major difference between Islam and Christianity is the belief in Muhammad and Jesus wasn’t the son of God.

Islam Today

• Islam today is still one of the biggest religions in the world.

• Only Christianity is bigger.

• Many Prophecies point that Islam in the Middle East will lead to the countdown of the end of the world.
