• The once demon possessed man proclaimed Christ, showed his identity...– Called to proclaim about Christ! Mark 5:18-19

• Today, similarly Christians are called to proclaim things about Christ. Acts 10:42-43; Isa. 43:10; Luke 12:8

• Jesus came to save people from their sins. 1 Tim. 1:15; Mt. 1:21– The gospel saves. Romans 1:16; 10:14

A Former Lesson of a Sinful People

• Sodom and Gomorrah• Men of Sodom were wicked, so are many

today! Genesis 18:20-19:29; 1 Jn. 3:4

–The Lord determines to destroy the cities.• Willing to spare for the sake of a few

righteous men (compassion)! Gen. 18:32

• The Lord deals patiently with Abraham…–Do we realize how patient God is with

us? Romans 15:5

A Former Lesson of a Sinful People

• Sodom and Gomorrah• Lot was a righteous man. 2 Peter 2:7-8

• We need to live this way. Titus 2:11-12–In the world but not of it (contaminated by it).

John 17:15-17; 2 Peter 2:9–How distressed are you by the sinful world

around you? Desensitized?–Did he not preach to them? Gen. 19:7, 9;

Galatians 4:16; Family Gen. 19:12

• We need to preach to the lost! Mark 16:15

God Destroyed These Sinful Places with Fire!

• All these cities of the plain were destroyed! Genesis 19:24-25, 28– Wickedness does not profit! It brings destruction.

• God will one day destroy the whole world with fire and heat! 2 Peter 3:10, 12

• Our task is to warn the world of the coming destruction. 2 Cor. 5:10-11 B.I.B.L.E = basic instructions before leaving earth– Remember the Judgment – It’s coming Ac.17:30-31

Make Your Life A Life of Proclaiming Christ!

• Persuade men! Love thy neighbor as thyself! Matthew 22:39– Do you care about their souls?– What would we want them to do toward us if we

were lost and they knew the gospel’s truth? Matthew 7:12; 2 Timothy 1:7-8

• Don’t be ashamed to confess Jesus to folks!

• Tell them of Jesus Christ’s plan of salvation!– Hear and believe the gospel. Rom. 10:17, Repent

Acts 3:19, Confess Rom.10:10, Baptism into Christ. Acts 22:16; Gal. 3:27, Faithful Rev.2:10
