Feature overview

• Support All Video Formats - You can add videos in any video format in Hitachi Solutions Ecommerce. The uploaded

videos feature will automatically convert your video to a web friendly version, ready for the customers visiting your

storefront.

• Improved SEO Ranking - Use SEO best practices for titles, descriptions and content in a video, and strengthen

overall web store SEO. Video is weighted higher by search engines because of the assumption that it is more time

consuming to produce.

• Higher User Engagement - Enhance shopper engagement by adding videos in your web store. Embed videos to

describe a product or a category and list them on product pages, the home page, or create a separate page listing

multiple videos.

The video uploading feature requires subscribing to Heywatch Video Encoding Service and Amazon S3 Storage Service. Heywatch service is used to convert a video to a web friendly format. This web friendly format (or encoded video) is uploaded on Amazon S3.

A CSR can upload videos via the Manager Panel. The video is encoded and converted to a web friendly format by Heywatch, and then it gets automatically uploaded to Amazon S3 storage. A CSR can provide a title and description for the video. Associating videos with products and categories helps boost the SEO results for your web store.

Associate product/ category to video

Once the videos have been uploaded, they can be associated with the relevant products and categories such that they are displayed on those product or category pages. Videos help merchants provide additional information about their products in a more attractive manner. Videos also come handy in displaying product demos, ‘how to’ tutorials etc.
