DESCRIPTION

At Esri UK Annual Conference 2014 Sport England is a government organisation responsible for helping people and communities across the country to create a sporting habit for life. To do so Sport England uses GIS to provide mapping and spatial analysis services to both partner organisations and within the business. Sport England’s ability to deliver these GIS services with limited resource, is considerably enhanced by the use of Esri UK’s data services. This presentation summarises Sport England’s experiences in using these services, which have not only saved a considerable amount of time and cost for Sport England but have also enabled access to a broader selection of data, such as Ordnance Survey MasterMap, not previously possible due to data management overheads.
