My Son, My Light As I look into my son’s eyes tonight, I realize he’s tall, and I now look up to him. I listen to the words from his lips, And realize God’s works I’ve overseen. My God has been so busy for me, But my worry has kept me so blind. I can’t deny He’s already worked wonders for me, And I must ask myself, “Why would God fail me now?” He has listened as I have cried, The words from my own son’s mouth say, “Mom, it’ll be alright”. He tells me how beautiful I am, It’s been so long since someone has. And so tonight I sit and thank God for what He is doing, Instead of letting my emotions cause me pain. I’ll save my health to see God’s works, And remember I just can’t see through the rain. By: Roxanne Reynolds-Hodge 1/14/2014

My Son, My LightAs I look into my son’s eyes tonight,

I realize he’s tall, and I now look up to him.I listen to the words from his lips,

And realize God’s works I’ve overseen. My God has been so busy for me,

But my worry has kept me so blind.I can’t deny He’s already worked wonders for me,

And I must ask myself, “Why would God fail me now?”He has listened as I have cried,

The words from my own son’s mouth say,“Mom, it’ll be alright”.

He tells me how beautiful I am,It’s been so long since someone has.

And so tonight I sit and thank God for what He is doing,Instead of letting my emotions cause me pain.

I’ll save my health to see God’s works,And remember I just can’t see through the rain.By: Roxanne Reynolds-Hodge 1/14/2014
