QUALITIES OF LEADERSHIP WHO IS A LEADER ?

• A Leader by using his personal capabilities influences the minds of members of his group in such a way that they start to think, feel and act like he wants them to. He have extraordinary qualities as compared to those whom he leads to be their leader. He encourages them to attain their specified objectives by doing their best.

QUALITIES :-• Have adequate knowledge of both, the requirements of

modern age and the dictates of the religion. • Have the ability to forgive mishaps of his subordinates

during their work.• Can think clearly and express his views easily. He should

be impartial and just.• Has strong will power and devote himself completely to

his respective field.• Have more experience than others and tries to find new

methods to improve performance of his team.• Have self-confidence and confidence of his team

members. Must build-up self-confidence of his co-workers.

QUALITIES OF LEADERSHIP HOW TO BECOME A GOOD LEADER ?

• Always learn from the events occurring in our life and nourish our ideas.

• Express only your positive thoughts so that the will to act is developed.

• Reject your negative thoughts to refrain from frustration and inaction.

• Always try to increase your performance from previous one and maintain your own personal file having a progress chart of your performance.

• Personality : Develop your personality by taking care of the following

aspects :‒ Clear about your objectives.‒ Plan you personality.‒ Identify damaging habits in yourself and try to get rid of

them.‒ Identify the good traits that you must have in yourself and

make efforts to develop them in yourself. Refrain from following habits that they will destroy your

personality :‒ Being suspicious.‒ Being worried unnecessarily.‒ Being apprehensive.

QUALITIES OF LEADERSHIP Popularity : The leader must be liked and held in high esteem by his team

members. For this, he should have following qualities :‒ Hard working‒ Selflessness‒ Intelligence‒ Good humor‒ Friendliness‒ Truthfulness‒ Sincerity‒ Honesty‒ Expecting only the least from others‒ Well behaved‒ Soft-spoken‒ Appropriately dressed with respect to your age and status‒ Soft-spoken‒ Careful about the words he use to speak during any conversation

QUALITIES OF LEADERSHIP Responsibilities of a leader : Leader should adopt following steps to attain

their goals :‒ Fix the goals.‒ Unity of command.‒ A proper distribution of work among his team

mates.‒ All the members of the team should be kept well-

informed about any changes.‒ Leader should be well-informed about the up-

coming problems and requirements of his co-workers.

QUALITIES OF LEADERSHIP• Miscellaneous :‒ Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that if a person who was

ruling over a Muslim population, dies under conditions where he was not honest to those he governed, then Allah would not allow him to enter into the Jannat.

‒ According to a saying of Holy Prophet (PBUH), every one shall be held accountable for his followers.

‒ Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A.) was also very strict about any matters pertaining to his government functionaries posted as governors.

‒ An Islamic Community should be very cautious in choosing their leaders. Leaders should have good leadership qualities.

GUIDELINES FOR LEADERS According to Hazrat Umar (R.A.) :1. It is obligatory to appoint a Chief or

Ameer.2. The Chief should possess the

following qualities :a) Should be an adult and mature person.b) Must be a follower of Islam.c) Should possess the knowledge of Shariat.

GUIDELINES FOR LEADERS Responsibilities of Chief or Ameer :

1. Preaching of Islam.2. To give protection to Islamic teachings.3. To protect the territory of Islamic country.4. To safeguard rights of Muslim citizens.5. To impart justice to the people.6. To run government in a moderate style7. The army should not be over-burdened.8. The tenets of Islam should be established.

GUIDELINES FOR LEADERS Rights of the Chief : The Chief must be obeyed in all matters

except when it is against commandments of Allah.Every follower must be a well-wisher of the

Chief.

CHALLENGES, DEMANDS AND RESPONSE

Challenges : Our society is deteriorating day by day. We are suppressed and indebted nation. We don’t even have our own educational

system. Our new generation is a victim of

unemployment, addiction to narcotics, etc. The system for income tax promotes the

prevalence of interest.

Demands : Take your own account for each second

passing by. Always try to think positive. Try to avoid any unnecessary fight or protest. Let your ego not dictate your actions Spend your money judiciously that would lead

to a life of self-dependency. Try to facilitate new generation in every walk

of life. Response : Take any action on your behalf for welfare of

your nation in any form.

IMPORTANCE OF PRAYERS

“Dua Is a part of human nature”. Effort and action must be supported by Dua: Hazrat Ali (R.A.) once said, “I had certain plans which

could not materialize and some resolutions which remained unfulfilled, although I had taken the correct course and made all the possible efforts. I then realized that there is someone far more powerful than myself and that I cannot succeed unless He wants me to succeed”.

Seeking peace of mind through Dua: According to Holy Quran, ‘prayers result in peace of

mind and heart. Prayers ensure support from Allah and provide relief

from tension.

Dua in the light of Quran : Call Allah, making your obedience unadulterated. O, Prophet (SAAW), when my men ask you about me,

then tell them that I am very close to them and when anyone beseeches me, I respond by accepting his Dua.

Beseech Allah with humility and humbleness. Sayings of the Prophet (PBUH) : Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that if a Muslim makes a

prayer in which nothing offensive to Islam or the severance of a relationship has been sought, then the person making the prayer is granted by Allah, at least one of the following privileges:

1. What is sought for, is granted.2. The prayer is included in plus points for the Day of

Reckoning.3. He is saved, as a compensation, from something evil.

Whose prayers would be answered ? The Dua or prayers of only those

would be answered who possess the following qualities:

Who have faith in Allah.Who conduct prayers with attention

and concentration.Who seek Allah’s forgiveness and

benevolence.Who have only Halal Income.Who does good and avoids evil.
