Evaluation question 2HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS?

My media product targets the social audience that are interested in Rap and R&B music types. This audience normally ranges between the early age of 12 to any other age above but my magazine is aiming for the audience between 12 and 20 which is an age range where you are in full committed education.

I know this age range is very vast but now in the 21th century, children as young as 12 are listening to rap and R&B.

Music like this affects people lives and can change the things that people do with their life. For example, the fashion industry is promoted through every magazine to all the people around my targets audiences’ age. Only the clothes that are shown in the magazine are promoted. The clothes that are shown influence its target audience to buy the clothes.

Even though the Rap and R&B genres are in different sections in almost every store. Creating a magazine that covers both of these will allow my target social groups to become larger leading to increased sales.

R&B/Rap artists such as Drake is an example of an artist that meets both my Rap and my R&B target audiences. If my magazine was to ever exist, Drake would be the main artist for the next magazine for MOAR.

The magazine does not promote the bad acts that have been made in any part of the magazine but encourages people to not do it even though the people that did it came out rich and famous. The text in the front cover and the double page are written in colloquial language to allow my target audience to understand and process the information in the magazine.

I want MOAR Magazine to show and promote this type of music and demote the type of behaviour that is mentioned in the double page.
