• The audience for my magazine is targeted at around the age of 16-24 year olds. Almost all of Q’s readers are 15-44 so this demographic fits into this nicely. Q magazine is very successful and I wanted to fit my magazine around this demographic.

• My magazine is aimed at both genders, not using any stereotypical colours that may be seen as more masculine/feminine. However, girls may be slightly more inclined to read it because the front page stars a young teenage girl.

• 16-24 year olds may be seen as irresponsible and lacking ambition, however I have tried to counteract this showing that the 17 year old girl on the front is ambitious and of a friendly natur.

• The artist on my front cover represents the social group of teens who listen to pop music. The singer ‘Tai-Sian’ wears a gold, pop looking, dress, she looks fun to be around and this helps to fit into the subculture of pop. As, she looks like a stereotypical, pop artist.

• The existing artists I have used in my magazine, such as Justin Bieber, Rhianna and The Weeknd are all from the pop genre. This again, reflects the pop genre of my magazine.

• My target audience are considered mainstream.

• A mainstreamer is a person that is interested in current rends in pop culture because everybody else is too. A mainstreamer is not very original with their music choice and fashions because they choose to copy the crowd instead of standing out as individuals and liking things that are perhaps not very popular.
