Editing Process for Digipak/Advert

Photograph

Firstly, we have cropped this photograph to fix the composition and adapt to the ‘Rules of Third’ aspect.

Secondly, we have decreased the brightness whilst increasing the contrast. This will help to establish the detail and tone of the horizon.

Additionally, we have decreased the exposure, and kept the offset and gamma correction the same, this effect will bring more darkness into the photograph creating a emotional atmosphere.

Furthermore, we have increased the vibrance significantly to give the photograph a sense of clarity and colour, whilst I increased the saturation slightly.

In addition, we have changed the colour balance to a blue-sided colour, we have changed the colour balance as blue is a sort of colour which associates to the theme of romanticism and love.

Moreover, we have used HDR Toning to improve the sharpness in this photograph. We have slightly increased the radius and strength whilst smoothing the edges, as well as decreasing the exposure and increasing the detail. These effects helps to capture the detail and clarity in this photograph.

Once again, we have used the brightness and contrast tool to edit my photograph. However, this time we have decreased the brightness and increased the contrast to capture the darkness of the kaleidoscopic colours.

We have used the selective tool to draw around our artist rather than highlighting the whole photograph.

Finally, using the selective tool it helped us to only capture one aspect of the photograph which was our artist. We have increased the brightness and contrast so that our artist is much brighter and stands out in the photograph.
