WOW ADVENTURE LEARNING TOUR RIDING THE WAVE OF CONTAGIOUS ENTHUSIASM from our last gathering at the FEALAC Youths Conference 2015 in Bandung (see WOW Dynamics poster), WOW Bali is helping to empower the youths of Latin America and East Asia “in the spirit of togetherness.” This past conference in Bandung brought together 400 young people between 16 and 26 years of age of the 36 member countries (100 Indonesian citizens) of the Forum on Latin America and East Asia - FEALAC, facilitating the development of social relations through interaction and socialization to establish friendly relations between the delegates and encourage sportsmanship and a positive mental attitude of the young participants via the development of online learning exchanges for Marine-based entrepreneurship. To continue support the Youth Delegates’ passion in “regenerative” development at the grass-roots level, WOW will initiate an “Action Learning Tour,” a hands-on conference experience in Bali, the magical and dynamic “Island of the Gods” from Oct. 21s t to Oct. 28th. The International Speakers at FEALAC Youths Conference – the “Dynamic Duo” – marine geologist Yuri Romero of Cuba and Hai Dai, WOW’s creative director – will reunite again in Bali to inspire the youths at the “action learning” level, to regenerate Marine-preneur at the grass-roots level. Raymard C. Guiterrez – a Youth Delegate from the Philippines, producer at Voice of the Youth Radio and a participant of the ASEAN Youth Group – is the first to lead our “Action Learning Tour.” “Everyone in this time and age relies mostly on what the media tell them to believe. From the trends we see on the Internet, to the shows we watch on our television, we consume so much time with shows we don't really see any purpose in rather than learning anything new. That is where our edutainment is going to be focusing on. We will try to add up learning with fun. To be able to regenerate the youths, we must first get their attention and inspire them through the fun things we will do. Then motivate them to do better in their studies and endeavors and support them by giving them opportunities to showcase who they are as a person. With the right amount of people, ideas and talents we will be able to achieve more than we could ever imagine,” Mr. Guiterrez said. WOW’s grass-roots approach, developed at the turn of the century, had been case-studied by the National Alliance of New Media Arts and Culture and was cited as the most innovative approach in inspiring youths with new media. This technique propelled Hai Dai, WOW co-founder, to be the Multimedia Director for UNESCO’s Youth Global Ambassador program in 2006. WOW Bali’s “Adventure Learning Tour” will “deep dive” into various parts of Bali’s Marine Life Festival in Pemuteran from Oct. 23 to Oct. 26, to raise awareness of Bali’s delicate marine ecosystem and its surrounding communities. Pak Agung Prana and his two sons, Bagus Mantra and Agung Wah, will share their experience here. They are visionaries in community-based tourism development, having turned a poverty-stricken area into a prize-winning tourist destination. With the Cuban marine scientist Yuri Romero leading the sessions, the delegates also will get insights into the festival and how to best develop a sustainable marine economy. WOW will share tips on marine-preneur development in Buleleng. Integrating WOW’s internationally recognized “Celebrations Programs” Framework (see InfoGraphic below) through a

“Talk Show” format that has been supported by Mr. Ajay Vidyasagar, YouTube’s Partnerships Director of Asia Pacific. Our goals are to develop the delegates’ learning skills with online and mobile technology; using WOW’s ’s soft skills and transformative leadership approach. Delegate Joelle Ferrier from Surinam will initiate the cultural-exchange and edutainment part of the tour by visiting Niang Raka, the oldest dance maestro in Bali. Ms. Ferrier aims to show the similarities between cultures through dance and its natural ability to connect people. Delegate Angelica Acuna from Costa Rica will research and case study sustainable, self-organized community based projects to share, that can help improve environmental preservation and marine life protection in small tourism based towns. WOW Bali’s Adventure Learning tour will be headquartered at WOW’s Sekar Bumi Farm, 30 minutes north of Ubud. The farm, owned by Pak Ketut Subagia, is home to the mammoth butterflies and “flying draco” dragon. Nestled in the organic Heliconia Flower Farm of Bali, Sekar Bumi is one of the largest co-op farms, with the participation of more than 100 families. Delegates will get to experience how sustainable farming is done communally. The 16-hectare farm that is supported by the Ministry of Horticulture and the local government. With WOW’s “Sustainable Dynamic Collective” – a partnership of business, academia, government, NGO’s and the communities – we hope to continue the wave we have started with the youth’s leadership at FEALAC Youth Conference 2015 in Bandung, to help create the ripple effect of the wellness among our youths and empower them with the digital tools and process of social holistic entrepreneurship for regenerative development in their home countries. Please join us in this adventure of empowerment!
