A national week of events promoting entrepreneurship and showcasing Ireland's

startup sector

Note: We believe that our national startup expo captures the essence of this in helping make our country a location where startups can scale up and take on the world from a country that supports their success

The week will comprise over 50 events and networking opportunities nationally

during the week for at least 15,000 members of the Irish

public and international visitors.

Note: Encouraging emigrants with good startup ideas to return to build their business from Ireland will be a key theme of the Startup Gathering. Startup Ireland will lead an international Kickstarter campaign to raise a ‘Diaspora Startup Fund’ to support the flights to Ireland of 50 Irish emigrants for the Startup Gathering to investigate pursuing their startup opportunity back in Ireland.

Phase 1 is about engaging the stakeholders through a national call to organize events around the theme: “Start, Scale, Succeed from Ireland. “

Phase 2 is about engaging the nation in the build up to the week with the message: “Now is the right time. “

Attract international high impact startups. Increase Ireland’s international visibility. Strengthen Ireland’s startup ecosystem in a
