Areas Covered:

The practice of sustainable logistics is growing; however, there is still a lot of misinformation and misconceptions about this important new paradigm. Many within the logistics community have dismissed sustainable logistics as just another costly "green" initiative promoted by do-gooders and hippies. Still others have thought that sustainable logistics is an afterthought - like adding a recycling bin in the office or a flowery phrase added to the company's vision statement.

Of course none of this true. Sustainable logistics is the future of logistics because it delivers improved profitability, increased efficiency and an Environmentally conscious solution that appeals to both consumers and supply chain practitioners.
