Supplies: straight plain glasses (this can be picked up very cheaply at op shops/thrift stores), cotton or bamboo (& a peg for if you need another hand).

Page 3: wrapped tea light

Begin by wrapping the thread once around the glass. Tie a knot to secure (be sure to leave the tail nice & long).

Page 4: wrapped tea light

Wrap the glass in a random fashion…up & down, round & round…until you are satisfied with the result.

Page 5: wrapped tea light

Tie the wound end to the tail of the original knot.

Snip off both ends to neaten.

Page 6: wrapped tea light

Slip tea light candles into the glasses & group together.

Page 7: wrapped tea light

They really do caste beautiful shadows when lit in a darkened room.
