The next big thing for small gardensFrom the introducers of The Knock Out® Family of Roses, comes the next big thing for small gardens. Like The Knock Out® Family of Roses, Drift® Roses are repeat-bloomers that are tough, disease resistant, winter hardy and virtually maintenance-free.
Drift® Roses are a cross between full-size groundcover roses and miniature roses. From the former they kept toughness, disease resistance and winter hardiness. From the miniatures, they inherited their well-managed size and repeat-blooming nature.
Continuously blooming from spring to frost (bloom cycle about every 5-6 weeks), they are naturally dwarf, with very attractive foliage. They are winter hardy to zone 4.

Truly a unique rose, The Charlatan may be grown as a large shrub or climber. You will be rewarded with continuous blooms for most of the season.
After fifty years of intensive breeding, David Austin's English Roses combine the forms and fragrances of old roses with the repeat-flowering of modern roses. They are very easy to grow, healthy and reliable.
English Roses may be grown as magnificent, shapely shrubs or trained as short climbers. Our extensive collection contains a rose for almost every garden situation.
David Austin Roses
Zone , 4-8’T x 4-5’W #3 Container Highly fragrant Excellent rebloomer Arching form
Rosa 'Clare Austin'PP#19465Clare Austin English Rose
David Austin Roses
There is something a little special about white roses – they are all purity and light – and yet really good white roses are rare among English Roses and Hybrid Tea Roses alike. This is because white roses are very difficult to breed. ‘Claire Austin’ bears pleasingly cupped buds of a pale lemon shade which gradually open to form large, creamy-white flowers of typical English Musk delicacy; their petals perfectly arranged in concentric circles, with a few more loosely arranged in the centre. They have a strong fragrance based on myrrh with dashes of meadowsweet, vanilla and heliotrope. It forms an elegant, arching shrub with plentiful, medium green foliage. Strong and particularly healthy. Undoubtedly our finest white rose to date.
Zone ?? 3’T x 2’W #3 Container Light to medium fragrance Excellent repeating full-petalled, red fading to
deep pink blooms Disease resistant foliage Compact, upright growth – perfect for
hedging
Rosa Princess Anne ('Auskitchen')Princess Anne English Rose
David Austin Roses
An exciting new development, stemming from an entirely new line in breeding. It has an overall character that is very different from any other rose we know, having its own very special beauty yet retaining the classic full-petalled flowers of an English Rose. The growth is upright and the foliage is rather thick, succulent and highly polished. Remarkably resistant to disease. It flowers over a long period and in large clusters; the individual blooms opening in succession. The compact, bushy growth makes this rose ideal for borders or it would be a great choice for hedging.
We are honored to name this after the Her Royal Highness, the Princess Royal who is patron of Riding for the Disabled. The charity offers opportunities for therapy, achievement and enjoyment to people with disabilities.
Zone 3.5’T x 2.5’W #3 Container Strong Fragrance changes as the flower
ages from a tea rose scent to lemon Excellent reblooming pink blooms
Rosa Princess Alexander of Kent PP#19828(Ausmerchant) Princess Alexander of Kent English Rose
David Austin Roses
We are very honoured to name this rose for Princess Alexandra, who is a cousin to Queen Elizabeth II. She is a keen gardener and great lover of roses. The rose that bears her name has unusually large flowers of a warm, glowing pink. They are full-petalled and deeply cupped in shape, all enclosed in a ring of outer petals of a softer pink; creating a most pleasing effect. In spite of their size, they are never clumsy; being held nicely poised on a well-rounded shrub. Because of their size, there is a lot to be said for planting in groups of three, keeping both flowers and growth nicely balanced. They have a delicious fresh Tea fragrance which, interestingly, changes completely to lemon as the flower ages – eventually taking on additional hints of blackcurrants. It is very healthy.
Zone 4’T x 2.5’W #3 Container Light myrrh fragrance Excellent reblooming
Rosa Queen of Sweden PP#17,1510 (Austiger)Queen of Sweden English Rose
David Austin Roses
Here we have a rose of exceptional freshness and beauty. The flowers start as charming little buds, gradually opening out to form wide but shallow cups. These are beautiful at all stages, and have a pleasing formality of form.
The colour is the softest glowing pink with hints of apricot.
This rose forms a rather upright and bushy shrub and has attractive Musk Rose foliage that is exceptionally free of disease. The growth is short to medium in height.
This is an excellent rose for bedding, borders or for arrangement in the house; the flowers lasting several days in water.
There is a light myrrh fragrance..
Zone 4’T x 3.5’W #3 Container Excellent reblooming orange, fully
double flowers Very hardy Disease resistant
Rosa Lady of Shallot (Ausnyson)Lady of Shallot English Rose
David Austin Roses
This rose promises to be one of the most robust and hardy roses in our collection. It is also highly resistant to disease and it will bloom with unusual continuity throughout the season. Indeed, it is an ideal rose for the inexperienced gardener.
The young buds are a rich orange-red. These open to form chalice-shaped blooms, filled with loosely-arranged petals. Each petal has a salmon pink upper side which contrasts beautifully with the attractive golden-yellow reverse. The chalice shape means that the undersides of the petals are clearly seen, revealing glimpses of the deeper colour in the heart of the bloom. There is a pleasant, warm, tea fragrance, with hints of spiced apple and cloves. Lady Of Shalott quickly forms a large, bushy shrub with slightly arching stems. The mid-green leaves have attractive, slightly bronzed tones when young.
Named for the Tennyson Society. The name is taken from one of Alfred, Lord Tennyson’s favourite poems of the same name; it is the 200th anniversary of his birth this year. In the poem, The Lady of Shalott lived in a castle close to King Arthur’s Camelot and was held in a spell until she saw the reflection of Sir Lancelot in a mirror.
Zone 4’T x 3’W #3 Container Strong pure old rose fragrance Good reblooming pink blooms
Rosa Harlow Carr® (Aushouse)Harlow Carr English Rose
David Austin Roses
A tough little rose that bears flowers of the most perfect formation - shallow cups of the purest rose pink. These hold their form to the end; the occasional petal falling back to give a pleasing effect.
The plant has an excellent bushy habit, maturing into an attractively rounded shrub with its flowers almost to ground level - a characteristic that we particularly favour at David Austin Roses. The young foliage is bronze at first, later becoming green - and the whole plant is of truly ‘Old Rose’ character.
There is a strong, pure Old Rose fragrance that has been described as reminiscent of rose-based cosmetics.Harlow Carr is the newest and most northerly of the R.H.S. gardens in the UK. A fine display of English Roses has been created there.
Zone 4’T x 5’W or 10’ tall as climber #3 Container Very soft pink with good repeating
blooms Fragrance of old rose, musk and myrrh Disease resistant
Rosa The Generous Gardener® (Ausdrawn)The Generous Gardener® English Rose
David Austin Roses
A rose of delicate charm - its flowers being beautifully formed; their colour a soft glowing pink at the centre, shading to palest pink on the outer petals. When the petals open they expose numerous stamens, providing an almost water lily-like effect.
It has strong, elegantly arching growth with polished dark green foliage.
This rose would produce a wonderful effect towards the back of the border. It will also make an excellent climber. Like ‘Mortimer Sackler’, it is highly disease-resistant. There is a strong and delicious fragrance with aspects of Old Rose, musk and myrrh.
The Generous Gardener has been named to mark the seventy-fifth anniversary of the National Gardens Scheme which has, over the years, contributed so much to charity and made it possible for us to see so many beautiful gardens
Zone 4-5’T x 4-5’W #3 Container Strong fruity fragrance Excellent reblooming apricot - orange,
fully double flowers Strong arching form
Rosa Crown Princess Margareta® PP#13,484 (Auswinter)Crown Princess Margareta® English Rose
David Austin Roses
A tall, slightly arching shrub which is ideal for the back of the border. The flowers are quite large, neatly-formed rosettes of a lovely apricot-orange. It is one of the Leander group and we think it should thrive even under more rigorous conditions.
It is likely to be vigorous in warmer areas and so would benefit from some summer pruning to maintain its shape and encourage quicker repeat flowering.
Zone 4-5’T x 4-5’W (8’T as climber) #3 Container Strong Fragrance Golden yellow has good repeat blooms
thru the summer into the fall Award winning
Rosa Golden Celebration™PP#8688Golden Celebration™ English Rose
David Austin Roses
This is one of the largest-flowered and most magnificent of our English Roses. Its color is rich golden yellow and the flowers are in the form of a giant, full-petalled cup. It has excellent shapely growth, forming a nicely rounded, slightly arching shrub with ample foliage. It is very reliable and easy to grow. An ideal rose to mark any celebration or important event.
The flowers are initially Tea-scented but often develop a wonderful combination of sauterne wine and strawberry.May benefit from summer pruning in most areas.
