Your PresentersYour Presenters Dr. Ed Ladon is a Clinical & Consulting Psychologist and Mediator. He has

longstanding interests in child and family issues and interventions, as well as clinical hypnosis and meditation – particularly as applied in behavioral medicine, stress and anger management, conflict resolution and parent counseling. He is a member of the IACP, CCLP, and MDIC. He obtained his PhD from the University of Virginia, and has been training and coaching professionals in many areas. He was a Clinical Supervisor, and Director of Consultation & Education Services at the Worcester (MA) Youth Guidance Center, and a faculty member at the UMass Medical School, where he trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn at the highly regarded Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program. Barb Shindell, LCSW is a Psychotherapist and Mediator with over twenty years experience helping adults, adolescents, couples, families and groups. She has particular expertise in the areas of parent consultation, parent/child psychotherapy, families dealing with chronic disease, as well as those in transition and divorce. She is a member of the IACP, as well as a leader in the CCLP and MDIC. Barbara holds a BA and an MSSW in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin (Madison). She has served as consultant, program director and supervisor in several domestic and child abuse clinics and has provided Expert Witness testimony for the Marin County (CA) DA’s office. She served on the faculty of The Women’s Therapy Center, a post-graduate training center in the San Francisco Bay Area. For many years, Barb has had a keen interest in Mindfulness and it’s use in Psychotherapy.
