One must first appropriately love oneself, first, before one can love others and learn to receive and accept their love for us. How can anyone receive love if such a person does not even know the meaning of love. Here are a few biblical scriptures defining Godly love: “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” – I John 4:8 “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” – I John 4:18 The Way of Love - I Corinthians 13:18 1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy nor boasts; it is not arrogant 5 nor rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable nor resentful;6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.



8 Love never fails. In order to resists shadows self (known in scriptures as Satan which means adversary or enemy) one must first know how he operates to sabotage our own selves. Jesus taught: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10 According to secular scholars, aka Psychologists, Shadow-self is the “accusing voice” known as “Judging sub-self” and as “Satan, the accuser of humans”. Since the main principle of “The Theory of Evolution” is the concept of “self-preservation”. Since the “Judging sub-self-voice is a demeaning voice then one must conclude that humans are created by God and that Satan is “the voice already acknowledged and recognized by psychologists”. Therefore, know that: “But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.” – Isaiah 53:5 “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” – Romans 8:1 God Himself, entered time-space to redeem us (purchase us with the Blood of Jesus Christ shed on our behalf) and now we are at peace with God through Jesus Christ: This prophesy articulated by Jesus Himself makes clear that we are free if we accept the gift of salvation (from ourselves):

This fulfilled prophesy was stated approximately 8 to 7 hundreds of years prior to the birth of Jesus Christ: Exaltation of the Afflicted 1The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted, To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives And freedom to prisoners, 2 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord, [And the day of vengeance and retribution of our God, To comfort all who mourn, 3 To grant to those who mourn the following: To give them a turban instead of dust [on their heads, a sign of mourning], The oil of joy instead of mourning, The garment [expressive] of praise instead of a disheartened spirit. So they will be called the trees of righteousness [strong and magnificent, distinguished



for integrity, justice, and right standing with God], The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. 4 Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins, They will raise up and restore the former desolations; And they will renew the ruined cities, The desolations (deserted settlements) of many generations. 5 Strangers will stand and feed your flocks, And foreigners will be your farmers and your vinedressers. 6 But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; People will speak of you as the ministers of our God. You will eat the wealth of nations, And you will boast of their riches. 7Instead of your [former] shame you will have a double portion; And instead of humiliation your people will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double [what they had forfeited]; Everlasting joy will be theirs. 8 For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery with a burnt offering. And I will faithfully reward them, And make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 Then their offspring will be known among the nations, And their descendants among the peoples. All who see them [in their prosperity] will recognize and acknowledge them That they are the people whom the Lord has blessed. 10 I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has covered me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom puts on a [turban, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, And as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring up, So the Lord God will [most certainly] cause righteousness and justice and praise To spring up before all the nations [through the power of His word].



Summary When the Scriptures command us to “love your enemies”, “bless those who curse you” as well as “Judge not because as you judge you will also be judged and the very same standard you apply in condemning others you also be condemned”. One can see, in the context of this essay, that we are actually harming ourselves if we do not love our “perceived enemies” since it is well known that “There are no greater flaws than the ones we perceive in others than the ones residing within ourselves (known as “our personal demons” or “small judging sub-self)”. This is in essence the basis of psychological projection which is a form of psychological dissonance (the closer one is to danger, the more one tends to minimize or even ignore its potential harm to us). Psychological dissonance is a defense mechanism by which “the human mind minimizes the pain of being less than the person that we all believe we are and we seek to find. The true self is the enlightened being who has discovered the meaning of love. Finally, we are home when we feel at peace at being who we are; unique individuals just as our DNA and fingerprints identifies us from billions of other humans. Be yourself and celebrate your uniqueness then you will be truly enlightened - you have arrived at the place call true self and therefore happy ☺
