The power behind your ability to learn new things, and apply that knowledge
to problem-solve new situations
Always be looking for new activities to engage your mind.
Learn an instrument, a new language. Take an art class. Learn about a new area of science.
Be a knowledge junkie.
As soon as you learn something to the point of mastery, immediately move on to the next challenging activity.
Creative Cognition is: 1. Thinking with BOTH sides of your brain
2. Switching back and forth between conventional and unconventional thinking
3. Making remote associations between concepts; ‘Zooming in and zooming out’ of information - from convergent to divergent- constantly checking for relevance and usefulness of the ideas
Learn the same information in multiple formats.
The more ways in which you can conceptualize a problem, the more learning that takes place.
