I want to be different than everyone else.

I am different from everyone else. I just need the chance to show it. I am different, I was meant to do so much morethat what I am currently doing. My life is not meant to be like this. My life is supposed to be better, more exciting andexhilarating. When I was a little kid, I had so much to dream about and I could not wait to be a grown up so I coulddo what I dreamed about. Unfortunately, when that time came, I got sucked into the workforce and find it hard to getback to the intense dreamer I once was.

Sounds familiar? I bet that thought is going through your head. If it wasn’t, it is now.

I remember watching my mother going from job to job, always tired. There came a point when I was really upsetbecause she wouldn’t have time to play with me anymore. Watching that, I swore to myself that I would not settle intoa job that I did not enjoy. I still have that feeling to this day. The idea of settling for something that is honestlybeneath you and does not allow you to answer to a higher calling in your life is nothing less than despicable and itmakes me sick to my stomach just thinking about the idea.

Unfortunately, we are forced into it.

Who else is tired of being sick and tired? Having no time to do anything because our job controls most of our lives. Imean, we can’t take a vacation without worrying because we are so tied down by what bills we have to pay off. Inorder to survive in the real world, we have to have a job to pay our bills.

Is this what all that schooling we went through was for? Settling into the real world so that we can do the sameroutine until we die? I guess so, since they do not teach us how to be financially free and having our time all toourselves.

Think about it! In school, what is usually the end result? They teach us skills that will help us get a job in the realworld. In college, they teach us to be valuable in whatever field we choose but what jobs can you get in a decliningjob market? People with master degrees are doing one of two things: working for minimum wage or

working entry-level in their field. They teach us how to get a job, but I have to ask this question.

Why are they not teaching us how to operate a business? Why are they teaching us to build someone else’s dreamwhen they can be teaching us how to build our dreams?

Building our dreams not only secures us with financial and time freedom, but that would start to fix this job marketlittle by little. With more people starting to operate their own business, there would be more jobs. Right or wrong? Onthe flip side of that, maybe that wouldn’t create more jobs. Maybe that would create more entrepreneurs. Is thatreally a bad thing? In my opinion, I do feel like more jobs would be created with more business owners because insociety, there will always be a balance of people who want to operate a business and people who want to work in abusiness. We call this balance bosses and employees.

You want to be different from everyone else? You already are. You have dreams that need to be a reality. Do youknow why we need to reach our dreams? Do you know why it is so important that we become something greater? It’s for two reasons.

1. If we don’t, our dreams and aspirations will die with us.2. Our generation and future generations will thank us later.

The best way to create a better life for us is to self-educate ourselves. As I mentioned earlier, no school will teachyou how to become an entrepreneur. No school will teach you how to build your dreams. No school will teach youabout building a passion-based business.

I challenge you to open your eyes to opportunities because the right one could be the vehicle you need to start onthe path to greatness. I challenge you to be unrealistic because you’ll be surprised what you can achieve with theright guidance and with the right action. I challenge you to be an agent of change, not just for you but also for others.

take care.
