Food plays an integral part of the human person. Without it people cannot survive. But too much intake of food can lead to obesity and cause different diseases. The question is, are you eating the right kind of food that your body needs? Calories are very much important in our body. It helps us to fulfill our daily activities because of the amount of energy required. But what are calories anyway? Calories are also essential in our lives because we always need energy in our body to stay kicking. Everything we do requires a right amount of energy every time we talk, laugh, sit, eat and even when we sleep. But too much intake of calories may lead to obesity. But now here are some tips in order for us to eat the foods we wanted without getting too many calories. The tips deal about finding substitutes wherein the tastes of your selected recipes will not be greatly affected. One of the ways wherein you can use substitution is by using chicken broth rather than using oil. Why? Simply because even if we need other nutrients that we can get from the oil still, calories in oils quickly add up so if you are not that careful, you might take too much calories without noticing it. Another way is to use applesauce instead of butter. The reason behind this is that butter contained more saturated fats which we do not like to have but applesauce would be the best substitute for it because it adds moisture which can make the integrity of your whole recipe intact. Another way is to put more vegetables rather than putting starch in your recipe. It is because it can help your weight lose faster. And vegetables provide different nutrients that we really needed in order to stay healthy. And lastly, try to use some pureed vegetables instead of shortening typical example is the carrot and zucchini which tend to be a good substitute for it. If you’re not satisfied with the substitutes being mentioned, you can find other alternatives wherein you are comfortable using without affecting the exact nutrients that your body needed daily.
