Why Concrete foundations?
• Poured walls have been around for years• New to area for residential foundations• Significant growth in most major SE cities• Superior product for basement walls
Advantages of Concrete
• IRC limit 12 inch masonry to 4 ft fill without reinforcement and full grout
• 10 inch un-reinforced concrete allowed to 8 foot fill, addition of rebar increases depth
• Concrete foundation monolithic less prone to crack and settle
• 5 times stronger than masonry• Cost comparable to grouted masonry• Concrete watertight provides for dry basement
How we do it
• Owner provides excavated site or HLC can perform

What If?
• Haven’t convinced you yet?• What if a 7,000 lb boulder slid down bank

• This is where a concrete wall excells
