2 Things You Should Know
About
From the Seven Things you should know about
report.
7 Things Report In reading “Seven Things You Should Know About” choosing
two items to write about was somewhat difficult. However, when I came across the Flip Camcorder and the Wii article I knew these were the two I wanted to write about. The Flip Camcorder article started by giving a scenario of student’s
applying for a grant and just so happens, one student, Jamie, decided to use a flip camcorder to record notes via
the video camera. The committee liked Jamie idea so much that they gave Jamie the grant and all the other winners of grants a camcorder with the hopes they too will use the flip
camcorder to put their experiences on film.

The flip video camcorder is not complicated it has a microphone, lens, with buttons on the back that allow
to rewind, fast forward and zoom. For use in the classroom the flip camcorder allows teachers and
students to use the flip camcorder to transfer information directly from the camcorder to the
computer to implement information into PowerPoint slides, enables video transfer to sites like YouTube,
and Facebook, record interviews, and assist students in completing an assortment of projects.

My second choice, Wii is wireless control video game system that can sense position and motion allowing users to interact with the game applications through
physical movement. The player becomes a part of the Wii game as one of the characters. Not only is the
excitement of the Wii video game a plus to student all over in classrooms everywhere but the Wii can
actually aid in teaching classes like physical education in promoting movement, and eye hand coordination.

The article used an example of using Wii in training medical students by simulating intubation or chest compression. The Wii would be a great teacher for
students with such issues as ADD. This strategy could help use they hyper activity and contain any
aggressive behavior all while learning control.
