Worker-centric Workplaces

in Smart Factories

• Started 1.12.2014, duration 4 years• Develop a worker-centric solution to

integrate knowledge work to the shop floor

• Solution will be tested across 4 real production environments in EU

• LUT team handles organizational needs, requirements and knowledge management, and validation of the solutions

• Impact on work satisfaction, productivity,employment

ProMaGNet (P3) research project: Product Knowledge

Management in Global Manufacturing and Supply Networks

LUT research topics: Business-oriented approach; Product

Lifecycle Management (PLM); identifying evolving business

requirements and PLM enabled business models, e.g.

performance-based lifecycle services. Location independent

manufacturing (LIM).

This project has received funding from the european union's horizon 2020 research and innovation programme

DOOR TO DOOR INFORMATION

FOR AIR PASSENGERS

Started 1.6.2015, duration 3 years

Plan, route, assist and guide passenger from door to door in Europe to cut total travel times by 20%

Participants: 14 EU partners from Germany, Spain, Greece, Finland including 2 testing environment cities: Berlin and Palma de Mallorca and corresponding airports

SYSTEMATIC CREATIVITY DEVELOPMENT

FOR NEW PRODUCT CREATION IN GREEN ENERGY

• Duration 3 years (spring 2014 – spring 2017)

• Funders: TEKES FiDiPro, Konecranes, ABB and Innotiimi

• 4 person researcher team, total budget 1 250 000 €

• Project target: Develop systematic invention methods (such TRIZ) and

innovations to green energy sector
