Immovable-- limited or no movement

Pivot: neck, waist
Hinge: elbow, knee
Ball and Socket: hips/legs, shoulders
Gliding: wrists, ankles
How are bones and muscles and joints connected?
>>> connective tissue:cartilage, tendons, ligaments
cartilage: cushion between joints; not as rigid as bone,not as flexible as muscle
ligaments:connect bones to bones
tendons: connect muscle to bone
