Disinfection of potable water with Polyelectrolyte Polyelectrolyte are specially designed to be used as flocculants and coagulants and sludge dewatering agent in the in the waste water treatment plants. Thus, polyelectrolyte plays an important role in the sludge conditioner. These are generally polymers used for water purification for decades. It is appreciated for its beneficiary nature of coping with problems of slow settling of flocs in water in low temperature, treating soft colored water where they enhances toughness of the flocs and improves its settlement ability. Generally, Polyelectrolyte can be differentiated into 3 types based on the charge present on it. These are Anionic Polyelectrolyte, Cationic Polyelectrolyte and Non-Ionic Polyelectrolyte. Flocculation generally occurs due to these charges present on the particles. In practical cases, charges are present on the impurity particles and electrostatic interaction occurs between these particles and polyelectrolyte. Chemtex Speciality Limited manufactures Polyelectrolyte which is a strong cationic radical polymer based coagulant which is specifically designed for partial or complete settling of organics, water soluble matters and suspended solids in the effluent or waste water through electro neutralization and bridging absorption. Bridging absorption occurs when long chain polymers get absorbed on the particles in a pattern such that it forms loops and tails extending some way in the solution. This consideration leads to the need for an optimum dosage of the product for formation of bridging flocculation. This product offered by Chemtex is a high performance flocculant, decolorant, and effective in algae growth inhibition and organics removal. It can completely replace Alum or PAC. It usually enjoys a small dosage but can be able to cause big flocs, rapid precipitation and low turbidity residues. Disinfection of potable water with Polyelectrolyte offered by Chemtex can be safely done. It finds applications in variable sectors such as water treatment, textiles, cosmetics, mining, paper making, soil treatment, oil industries etc.

Polyelectrolyte are specially designed to be used as flocculants and coagulants and sludge dewatering

agent in the in the waste water treatment plants. Thus, polyelectrolyte plays an important role in the

sludge conditioner. These are generally polymers used for water purification for decades. It is

appreciated for its beneficiary nature of coping with problems of slow settling of flocs in water in low

temperature, treating soft colored water where they enhances toughness of the flocs and improves its

settlement ability.

Generally, Polyelectrolyte can be differentiated into 3 types based on the charge present on it. These are

Anionic Polyelectrolyte, Cationic Polyelectrolyte and Non-Ionic Polyelectrolyte. Flocculation generally

occurs due to these charges present on the particles. In practical cases, charges are present on the

impurity particles and electrostatic interaction occurs between these particles and polyelectrolyte.

Chemtex Speciality Limited manufactures Polyelectrolyte which is a strong cationic radical polymer

based coagulant which is specifically designed for partial or complete settling of organics, water soluble

matters and suspended solids in the effluent or waste water through electro neutralization and bridging

absorption. Bridging absorption occurs when long chain polymers get absorbed on the particles in a

pattern such that it forms loops and tails extending some way in the solution. At this stage, particles are

said to e resta ilized. A sor ed a ou t ust e opti u otherwise e ough ridgi g o ta ts ould ’t form. This consideration leads to the need for an optimum dosage of the product for formation of

bridging flocculation.

This product offered by Chemtex is a high performance flocculant, decolorant, and effective in algae

growth inhibition and organics removal. It can completely replace Alum or PAC. It usually enjoys a small

dosage but can be able to cause big flocs, rapid precipitation and low turbidity residues. Disinfection of

potable water with Polyelectrolyte offered by Chemtex can be safely done. It finds applications in

variable sectors such as water treatment, textiles, cosmetics, mining, paper making, soil treatment, oil

industries etc.
