Noil Silk is made from the short fibers left after combing and carding so it doesn't

shine like many other silk fabrics. Noil looks similar to cotton, but has the soft feel

of silk against the skin. It also drapes better than cotton and resists wrinkling.

Kanchipuram Sari is a type of sari traditionally made by weavers. To weave a

Kanchipuram sari three shuttles are used. While the weaver works on the right

side, his aide works on the left side shuttle. The body and border of the saree

are woven separately and then interlocked together.

Raw silk, which is popularly known as ‘Paat’ in Eastern India, ‘Resham’ in Urdu and Hindu

dialect, and ‘Pattu’ in the southern pockets of India, is the most natural form of delicate fiber

which can get easily and smoothly woven into different fabrics and garments. The best of larvae

obtained from the cocoons of the Silk producing worms and insects weave in together to form

the finest and the most delicate form of texture, which has never faded in its popularity through

the decades.

Half saree is originated from south India and it has been modified in look and feel till today. In

South India, half saree is popularly known as Langa Voni and it is traditionally worn by young

girls. It is a two piece saree comprised of lehenga and dupatta. Lehenga is worn around the waist

and chunnis draped over the blouse. It gives same look as of a ghargracholi in North India. Half

and half saree is a two-in-one combination where there are two different colors of base and pallu.

It is worn as a saree but it gives look of a lehenga.
