Malaysia’s Energy Sector Growth

The oil, gas and energy sector has been a part of Malaysia's growth and contributes approximately 20% of national GDP.

By 2020, Malaysia aims to have a more diversified oil, gas and energy sector that remains vital to the country's development. They will develop a strong regional oil field services and equipment hub and a stronger presence in the regional midstream logistics and downstream markets. Malaysia also has the potential to grow alternative energy sources such as nuclear, solar and hydro to overcome the decline in domestic natural gas production.

This growth is expected to raise total Gross National Income (GNI) to RM 241 billion by 2020

> 52,300 jobs will be created

> 21,000 jobs for qualified professionals, e.g. geologists & engineers

> Current monthly salaries have increased

Returning Expert Programme – Our Expertise

4 Private and confidential

The Returning Malaysian Programme is professionally known as the ‘REP’.

Hydrogen successfully brought back three Returning Malaysians in 2011. These three candidates were rated by their peers as the most talented Malaysian Geologists within their range of experience.

Hydrogen believes and encourages nationals with the right expertise residing overseas to return home. Similarly, our candidates are motivated to share their international experience and skills, to eventually contribute back to their country.

Our Bahasa Malayu, Bahasa Indonesia, Tamil and Mandarin speaking Consultants build relationships with local network pools for a minimum of 6 months before successfully bringing them home.

Our specialist Consultants introduce the incentives of the Programme to these networks, focusing on the benefits of returning that will impact their career, families and the progression of Malaysia in the global economy.

Hydrogen’s aim is to align itself with the “REP’s” 2020 Vision: The country will need local talent to propel the nation towards a high income nation.

Hydrogen has invested in a cutting edge, unique global salesforce system customized, known internally as ‘hub’. This platform enables us to identify and target high performing, passive professionals in the marketplace across our global network.
