The research indicates that enabling and enhancing the diversity of • Ideas• Cultures • Experiences The above said has a positive impact on innovation. Though there is no silver bullet to do so, a commitment to attract and create a workforce mix that reflects diversity and a workplace that treats them inclusively has the most impact on the quality of work.
• It multiplies the quality and quantity of transformational solutions that in turn foster economic growth across organizations.
• Encourage the workforce to recognize that whatever decisions or actions they take impacts the value we add to other people
• Diversity in leadership means a group of people who use their varied expertise and experiences to seed, nurture and harvest new ideas as they make these decisions.
• The diversity is due to demographic differences including gender, nationality, culture, ethnicity, generation or the differing abilities of individuals.
• To inspire employees to innovate, leaders need to ensure the workforce feels valued, trusted and inspired.
• Diversity in leadership means that we walk the talk and showcase role models.
• Leaders must share and reinforce to employees that they personally value knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
• Leaders need to take ownership and role model the benefits of diversity and inclusion by creating synergy across groups.
• It is imperative for leaders to build the leadership mindset in every employee assume accountability for diversity in its workforce mix and an inclusive environment.
• Alignment of these efforts ensures a sense of inclusion by strengthening the cohesiveness with which people understand the cultural architecture and creates a workplace that enhances innovation.
• Career, learning, performance, reward and talent management practices need to be refreshed and reinvented to deliver on this promise as these directly impact the knowledge workers' experience with the organization.
CONCLUSION - Diversity brings in different style of leadership.
With diversity in the company, new thoughts and perspectives keep flowing.
In an organization we should have people from diverse culture.
This diversity brings in people with new innovative and creative ideas.
