1. Ping An Finance Center, China
The tallest building on this list and the fourth tallest building on Earth is this 599-metre tower in Shenzhen, China. The 115-story building was designed by the American architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. The building has more than 100 floors of offices and five levels of shops. Phase 2 or the South Tower, as it will be called, began construction in 2014 and is slated to be completed by 2018. There will be a bridge connecting the two buildings from levels 3 through 6.
2. Goldin Finance 117, China This skyscraper has 117 stories, hence the name
Goldin Finance 117. The tower is also known as China 117 Tower. Designed by Chinese firm P&T Group, this building is the second tallest in China. The diamond-shaped crown at the tip top serves as an atrium and holds an indoor swimming pool and fine dining options. Let’s not forget about the spectacular views that the diamond atrium has as well.
3. Lotte World Tower, Korea
This beautiful 123-floor skyscraper is located in Seoul, Korea, and was fully completed on December 22, 2015. The tower is the fifth tallest in the world and the roof structure is engineered to withstand earthquakes up to a magnitude of 9 and winds up to 80 m/s.
4. CTF Finance Centre, China
Another skyscraper designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox on the list. This building is located in the city of Guangzhou and is the tallest building in that city. The building is the second-tallest in China and the fifth-tallest in the world. At 1,739 feet and 111 stories, this towering building has a shopping mall, apartments, a hotel, and offices. There are also five levels below the ground.
5. Wuhan Center Tower, China
The Wuhan Tower is the tallest building in Central China with 88 floors. Construction on this beautiful tower began in 2009 and is possibly going to be completed in 2017. This tower was inspired by a sailing vessel and is appropriately situated next to the Mengze Lake, along Yangzhi River.
6. Marina 101, UAE
Located in the Dubai Marina district, and just steps away from the Persian Gulf, the Marina 101 has no problem standing out in a city full of skyscrapers and high-rises. Construction on this beauty started in 2006 and is set to be completed by 2017. In the tower will be apartments and the first Hard Rock Hotel in the Middle East.
7. Eton Place Dalian Tower 1, China Standing at 80 stories tall with four floors below
ground, the Eton Place Dalian Tower 1 is home to offices and a hotel. Also known as Supertower One, the tower shares a podium with Eton Place Dalian Tower 2, or Supertower 2, which is a high-end residential project that offers apartments and small offices.
8. Vostok Tower, Russia
Vostok Tower is one of two towers known as the Federation Towers in Moscow, Russia. Construction began in 2005 and was completed by 2016 on the 95 story tower. The tower shares a nine-story podium with the other shorter Zapad Tower. They mirror each other in design.
9. Dalian International Trade Center, China
The last skyscraper on our list is the 86 story Dalian Trade Center in Dalian, China. This tower has a retail podium that is six stories then from floors 8 through 54 are luxury apartments then offices through the 84th floor. The tower has a clubhouse and a rooftop helipad.
