SM Neshaminy Interplex: Thank you Drew for your time today. As always, it appears there’s a lot going on at alphabroder. Drew Maristch: Seems like just yesterday we were building work stations and unpacking boxes. But yes, I think there’s always a lot of activity around our offices due to the nature of our business. NI: Last time we did this type of interview, you had just moved here from your space in Hunting Park, Philadelphia. Can you tell us why you were motivated to move back then, and what you’ve found with the Interplex since? Drew: Sure. We initially sought out space at Neshaminy Interplex to attract top tier talent to our company. We figured by having a more upscale location with many more convenienc- es we’d be able to grow faster and offer amenities we were previously lacking. NI: From the recent renewing of your lease for another ten years, we can assume that it worked? Drew: Yes, objectives met. We have definitely been able to hire top talent in this competitive market and grow our business. On the heels of acquiring NES Clothing in 2005, we continued to grow steadily and really flourished in the Interplex. NI: The location change from the old place was beneficial? Drew: No question being here is a benefit in so many ways. Our executives, board members and customers who come to visit find the business park convenient. The Radisson is used regularly by senior executives coming from different parts of the country. The local car service is great for airport pickups too. Even myself, coming from New Jersey, find the location to be significantly more convenient. And the majority of our 150 employees here would agree. NI: With your new lease, are you planning any major changes inside the space? Drew: A bit of freshening up is on the horizon in the coming weeks. When we took this space almost ten years ago, we had specific needs in mind which were met at that time. Our growth has been based around the current functional office layout. So, nothing major needs changing except this little facelift we have planned. NI: What Interplex amenities do you find popular among the staff at alphabroder? Drew: Smoke’n Dudes, for one! I know they love that. The fes- tivals that bookend the season (Spring Fest and Fall Fest) are very popular around here. I know everyone makes sure to at- tend those. I can think of one employee in particular who uses the on-site day care center and loves that she can walk over at lunchtime and check on her daughter. Also, the partnerships you put in place here are so beneficial. Wawa is great, Andy’s diner is a nice change of pace – just having resources around for those looking to grab a quick bite is really nice. • Featured Tenant: alphabroder • Fall Fest Rewind • Holiday Gifts • “Best of” Candy Bars • 2014 Tenant Recap • Thank You Letters • How to Contact Us • AND MORE! Neshaminy Interplex: Thank you Drew for your time today.

We figured by having a more upscale location with many more convenienc-es we’d be able to grow faster and offer amenities we were previously lacking.

NI: From the recent renewing of your lease for another ten years, we can assume that it worked?

NI: The location change from the old place was beneficial? Drew: No question being here is a benefit in so many ways.

Our executives, board members and customers who come to visit find the business park convenient. The Radisson is used regularly by senior executives coming from different parts of the country. The local car service is great for airport pickups too. Even myself, coming from New Jersey, find the location to be significantly more convenient. Much has changed since we last sat down with alphabroder in the spring of 2005. Back then they were a brand new tenant to Neshaminy Interplex, leasing the top two floors in BUILDING SIX. That amount of space meant they were clearly a company with growth on their mind. We figured after 10 years it was time to catch up on what’s new with them here in the park, and throughout their corporation. We sat down with Director of Leasing and Corporate Operations Drew Maristch for a little one-on-one.

NI: Thank you. We work hard to build those partnerships.

Drew: It shows! Plus, your facilities team, your maintenance guys, they have been so receptive to the needs of our manage-ment. Even when our executive team wants to get away from this office to push through some items without distractions, they go downstairs and use the second floor conference room. It’s a great feature to the building.

NI: That’s perfect that you can benefit from that. Anything else you’ve found helpful?

Drew: I remember about halfway through our first lease Arnie Lurie in your management office helped us get on the generator hookup. It has kicked on a couple times over the years and helps protect our valuable work stations during an infre-quent power outage. He also helped us establish a point-to-point wireless communication system with our IT office over in BUILDING EIGHT. Arnie again brought in reliable partners to assist with equipment set up and structural studies to be sure the building could handle our large servers.

NI: So what’s on the agenda in the coming years for alpha-broder? Acquisitions, staff growth?

Drew: In early 2013 we added Imprints Wholesale headquartered in Denver to our major operations. And about a year ago our major acquisition of Ash City allowed us access to the Canadian market and helped to expand our already robust private label offering. With this deal, our access in North America grew significantly. We’ve also taken a new path toward building a solutions environment, becoming more of a service partner to our customers.

NI: For those who don’t know, you’ve primarily dealt in selling imprintable apparel supplies, correct?

Drew: Yes, we are a direct resource to embroiderers and screen printers for brand name apparel, promotional prod-ucts and accessories. In fact, millions of people wear our apparel every day without knowing it – from golf shirts, concert tees, fleece jackets, vacation souvenirs – odds are that it made its way through one of our North American Distribution Centers. Representing more than 75 brands, from American Apparel to Champion, Izod to Russell Athletic and so many more, alphabroder is the primary wholesaler in this realm across North America.

NI: With such a large North American reach, how do you stay so customer service oriented?

Drew: With this being our HQ, the operations department can effectively manage the flow of our 20,000+ aver-age daily orders. In fact, we are positioned to be able to offer next day delivery to about 94% of the country, which helps accommodate customer demand. Our distribution strategy helps ensure we have inventory available where and when customers need it.

NI: That’s impressive. So things remain good for alphabroder?

Drew: We’re positioned perfectly to continue to serve existing customers and build new relationships as we expand our product lines. And we acknowledge that having a highly professional office environment is key to this growth.

One of the most important elements of the holiday season for us at the Neshaminy Interplex is our connection to Bucks County Special Olympics. Not only do we enjoy seeing these young athletes excel in their respective competitions, but appreciate the dedication it takes for the more than 670 volunteers who make this program so successful.

Over the past six holiday seasons, Korman Commercial Properties has donated $5,000.00 to our local chapter of Special Olympics on behalf of our Interplex tenants. We know all donations are used for sports equipment, train-ing programs, travel, and more. Bucks County Special Olympics has grown to feature 650 athletes. The Neshaminy Interplex is proud to be a part of these efforts and wish all of these incredibly dedicated athletes continued achieve-ment in their upcoming winter and spring events!

From line dancing to cider sipping, Fall Fest at the Neshaminy Interplex was by all accounts a great success! With a gorgeous October day on hand, people gathered around the fountain and celebrated our annual lunchtime tradition like never before. In addition to a great selection of barbecue sandwiches, sodas, salads, and fun foods like soft pretzels and caramel apples, the crowd seemed extra enthusiastic – especially when the DJ got everyone going with dancing and singing. (We noticed a few stragglers not quite ready to go back to their buildings after the food vendors folded up their tents!) In all seriousness, Korman Commercial management thanks all of our tenants for their continued support of the Neshaminy Interplex. These festivals are held for you – and we’re glad you take the time to stop down and enjoy the day. We look forward to seeing everyone back for more fun at Spring Fest in May!
