DESCRIPTION
This Uruguay timberland investment is one of the largest single assemblages of timber parcels currently held by one owner in Uruguay. In addition to size, the investment offers excellent diversity in terms of geography, species planted and maturity of the eucalyptus growing on individual parcels. There is a grand total of 20,242 hectares (50,019 acres) of timberland which includes 10,084 hectares (24,918 acres) planted with Eucalyptus Grandis and 4,519 hectares (11,166 acres) planted with Eucalyptus Globulus. The age of the timber growing on each parcel ranges from one year to full maturity. The timberland is located in six Uruguay departments with government designated forestry priority soils: Cerro Largo, Florida, Lavalleja, Rivera, Tacuarembó and Treinta y Tres.
