BISHOP ARTS DISTRICTRadiating east and west from Bishop Street across Seventh and Eighth streets in north Oak Cliff, Bishop Arts is a thriving collection of unique galleries, shops, and restaurants. The district was initially populated with artists and artisans who used the raw spaces as studios, and as the neighborhood developed and became successful, the studio spaces gave way to more established businesses with an eclectic vibe, which populate much of the area today. In 1990, the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
LONE STAR PARKLone Star Park offers live horse racing as well as year round simulcast racing. The adjacent Nokia Theater was specifically designed for world class live performances, and features intimate seating and state-of-the-art sound and lighting, making it a wonderful place to see a show.
NORTHPARK CENTERNorthPark Center is a premier luxury shopping destination, proudly offering a mix of the finest in retail and dining. Featured stores include AX Armani Exchange, Barneys New York, Burberry, Cartier, Coach, Kate Spade, Lacoste, Louis Vuitton, Nordstrom and Tiffany & Co. Selections from Raymond Nasher’s collection of 20th Century sculpture and modern art have been rotated throughout NorthPark Center displaying impressive works by Jonathan Borofsky, Andy Warhol, Henry Moore, Roy Lichtenstein and Frank Stella.
VICTORY PARKOffering diverse high-end shopping, world class dining, cultural events and a sophisticated nightlife scene, Victory Park is a thriving locale. Anchoring Victory Park is the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars and the Dallas Desperados.
FAIR PARKThis National Historic Landmark boasts the largest collection of 1930s Art Deco exposition style architecture in the US and is home to notable performance facilities and museums. The signature event at Fair Park is the State Fair of Texas, held since 1886.
