AT&T Real Yellow Pages is a telephone directory of local businesses. It also includes community information, phone service information, local maps, and city, county, state, and federal listings.

Page 5: Yellow Pages: A Ready Reference Presentation

The directory is broken down into five categories: community pages, phone service pages, white pages, and yellow pages.

Within these divisions, the entries are organized alphabetically.

THE REAL YELLOW PAGES IS A GREAT RESOURCE FOR QUESTIONS LIKE…

Page 9: Yellow Pages: A Ready Reference Presentation

• I need to get in touch with Burbank’s city hall. Where can I find that phone number?

• Do you know the area code for northwest Indiana?

• Do you know the address of Dr. Antony Jerome’s new office?

Page 10: Yellow Pages: A Ready Reference Presentation

The answers to these questions can be easily found in The Real Yellow Pages.

Let’s start with the first question.

I need to get in touch with Burbank’s city hall. Where can I find that phone number?

First, decide what division this phone number would be found in. The city hall would be a division of the government, so we would flip to the government pages.

Once on this page, the cities/towns are organized alphabetically.

Find Burbank, and the phone number for city hall will be listed underneath:

(708) 599-5500

Now, let’s try the second question.

Do you know the area code for northwest Indiana?

Again, decide where this information would be found. Area codes are associated with phone services, so we would go to that section.

Page 15: Yellow Pages: A Ready Reference Presentation

In this section, there is a map with area code divisions. Locate northwest Indiana on the map, and see that the area code is 219.

Finally, let’s tackle the third question.

Do you know the address of Dr. Antony Jerome’s new office?

Find the section the answer to this would be located. This is a business, so it will be found in the yellow pages.

Page 17: Yellow Pages: A Ready Reference Presentation

In the yellow pages section, it is broken down by types of business alphabetically. We’re trying to find a doctor, so flip to Physicians & Surgeons.

Page 18: Yellow Pages: A Ready Reference Presentation

Within this section, the names of the doctors are also organized alphabetically. Find Antony Jerome MD and see that the address is:

7940 Cascade Ct, Orland Park.
