According to WHO 285 million people are Visually Impaired
worldwide and 20% i.e. 57m are Indians.
USA have 8 million VIP and 1.5 m people among them are
employed.
India is a developing country where jobs are increasing. About
0.5m VIP are employed and this number will increase by time.
Tellmate will increase employability by giving self-confidence

uses Braille Books or take help from someone else. While navigating
they face obstacles like pit-holes, static vehicles, etc.Wearable
device in form of glasses which will process in-front images of
Visually Impaired Person, will convert it to sound and whisper in

interactive task at home, office, school, etc. with regional

technological solutions for the Visually Impaired that is
inclusive, affordable & easily adaptable

We have built our prototype with advanced Intel Hardware with
ability to read printed text in real-time on windows platform.

There are several apps and hardware's available for Visually
Impaired People. George Reader gives sound o/p of on-screen text in
PC. Voiceover does this for iPhone. Talkback does it for
Android.
TELLMATE will give sound o/p of real-time off-screen printed
text.
OrCam is doing this where a bulkier device need to be carried

With 200+ customer interviews, we have validated that our
primary customer is Student and Employed VIP and we will target
donors and trustee of BPOs in future. We got few ready to pay
customers , employed VIP who wanted Tellmate to be a light weight
device giving accurate results. We have visited 5 Blind People
Organization and connected with multiple NGOs and Ophthalmologists
which are our customer channel.Principal, Technical Head, Donors
and Trustee of a BPO and Govt. Institutes like NIVH Dehradun are
main Influencer.Ophthalmologists which are running private clinic
with few monthly cases were Saboteurs.7

We imagine a Visually Impaired Person using Public Transport
just like a normal person does independently. A society where
Visually Impaired are confident about their work and can do all the
interactive task at home or office and help there family or company
just like a normal person does. It will impact a bunch of BoP
population which is poor and is looking for some miracle to
happen.
