• AERLIS encourages the involvement of public, collective and private stakeholders by identifying common concerns and goals.
• We believe that the integrated regional development is sustained in the triangle shown in the picture: economic and environmental ... .social ... without any of the factors, regional development is compromised.
• We believe that the happiest people do best organizations and it is in this context that the relationship with social organizations is a natural component.
AERLIS was invited by national movement of SE to participate in a project under the EQUAL initiative in 2001. The project was called the "Supported Employment", under which the Portuguese Association of Supported Employment was created, being AERLIS one of the founders, this project was followed later by Nautilus.
We were the first Business Association working on SE movement, and in practical terms we function as a "bridge" between the business community and the authorities responsible for insertion of public at a disadvantage, through:
– Awareness of the use and will feature SE methodology in recruitment and HR management;
– Ways to communicate, think and approach the inclusion of entities to the business community. Restructuring the way of thinking and acting, being the face of this change.
AERLIS AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
In Portugal through some projects, of which we highlighted the Supported Employment and Nautilus, effective networking based work, has allowed a change that has been gradual: •mentalities, •ways to operate and relate to the outside with respect to the above mentioned entities was developed, •the role of cooperation between social economy entities and business associations, having a vision, shared objectives with a view to sustainable development, was prominent in these developments.
EMPLOYERS AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
This cooperation and particularly its consolidation, allowed incorporate practices in each types of entities that intersect and complement.
On the side of social economy entities, we highlight training in language and way of operating in a more economic approach to the business world, as particular emphasis on the decisive factors in recruitment and HR management.
EMPLOYERS AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
In business associations and companies the integration of SE methodology, is formally and informally, whether in training for adults and / or for new entrepreneurs or to consolidated companies, which are not only for the training of tutors, but more broadly, with the cost-benefit analysis for insertion people with some disadvantage.
EMPLOYERS AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
The work is more or less informal, is done in partnership or network if they prefer designate, being an effective complementary logic.
Concepts / Key elements:•Work by complementing our partners;•Incorporate SE methodology in the way we think and act;•Always identify the best person for each job, valuing the skills to perform the function;•Employers need to have added value in each recruitment.
