1. Training in the workplace to obtain registration or licensure this training is for people whoneed to register, join or license to start a business in Australia or their home country.
2. To increase your skills, Structured Workplace-Based Training, This training is for people whohave been nominated by an authorized temporary activity sponsor in Australia for a specifiedoccupation in the list of eligible skilled professions. However, they will need to undergostructured workplace-based training in order to increase their skills in that occupation.
3. This training will sharpen the skills and enhance competence.This type of training can bedivided into three types:

Overseas QualificationThis category is for students who are studying at a foreign institutionand need to complete a period of research, observation or practical training to obtain theirdegree. This category allows you to apply for a training visa.
Government SupportThis category is for people who are able to access structuredoccupational training in their workplace with the help of an Australian government agency.
Professional DevelopmentThis category is for overseas employers who wish to offer theiremployees a customized professional development program to help them grow theirbusiness.
Notice: The SOL (Skilled Occupation List), was replaced by the STSOL on 19 April 2017. There iscurrently no separate STSOL list, but there is a combined list with eligible skilled occupations. Thislist will be reviewed on July 1, 2017, and updated every six months.

Eligibility Criteria For Visa Applicants, Sponsors andNominators
Unless you are exempt, at least 18 years old
Participate in occupational training or professional development programs if you aresponsored by an approved sponsor.
If it is not a Commonwealth agency, be nominated by the Australian organization for anapproved occupation. Pathway Education provides Migration Services Australia
If the sponsor is a Commonwealth agency, you will be invited to apply.
If you are exempt, get your occupational training directly from the sponsor
For this visa to be granted, the applicant must:

Only take part in occupational training that meets the requirements for one of the nominationeligibility types
For existing sponsorship by an approved training, research, or professional developmentsponsor, submit your application no later than 18 May 2017.
To obtain training and meet safety and occupational health standards, you must be fluent infunctional English
Have a genuine desire to temporarily stay in Australia. Meet health and character requirements
You should have enough financial backing and arrangements to get health insurance foryourself, your family members and any accompanying relatives for the duration of your stay.

You can be an organization operating legally in Australia, a government agency, or a foreigngovernment agent
If an exemption is not granted, provide the occupational training directly
You must not have any unfavorable information about yourself or anyone else associatedwith you, unless it is necessary for the Immigration Department

To nominate someone for a 407 visaSponsor of temporary activity or approved by the governing body. You have submitted anapplication to be an approved temporary activity sponsor. If the sponsorship has not beenapproved, the nomination will not be considered.
