Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must be certified, too.” Organic coffee certification gives you the reassurance that what you are getting is good coffee, produced according to strict standards, and free of unnecessary impurities. When a small grower goes to the trouble of following organic procedures he follows through in drying his green coffee beans thoroughly. Gourmet Organic Coffee What is organic coffee when compared to gourmet coffees? Many gourmet coffees are organically grown. The procedures needed to keep coffee free of impurities are also procedures that commonly result in better tasting coffees. Anyone who goes to the trouble and expense of producing healthy organic coffee will also work to use the best varieties, pick at the most opportune time, and process with care.
