Roosevelt continued exercisingby boxing and wrestling.

In 1880 Roosevelt married Alice Hathaway Lee.

Tragedy struck Roosevelt’slife in 1884 when his wife

and mother died in thesame day. After, he

headed West.

After coming home from the west he started his political career

After being Governor of New York theRepublican Party nominated Roosevelt as Vice President, and won.
