Local Communities Model Off Columbia Tomorrow

Because of the nature of KOMU and our expansive viewing area, it would be difficult to market/franchise Columbia Tomorrow without alienating other Mid-Missouri communities

Because of the nature of development, many of these communities will soon face issues now facing Columbia. We can best serve our viewers by alerting them to these issues and applying them to their communities

Page 7: Sustaining Columbia Tomorrow

Some of these communities have a need even greater than Columbia because their growth and development departments aren’t as established

Example: Many Columbians are concerned about expansion as an urban community impeding on the city’s rural roots, this issue is an even more hot topic in surrounding communities where agriculture is more prevalent.
