Media Institution Question Three

Now a days there are many media institutions which are well known and wealthy. These are some of the well known distribution media institutions for music magazines.

The music magazine ‘Mixmag’ is also well known, the media institution it’s run by, is EMAP.

The music magazine ‘Mojo’ is well known and successful, this is distributed through EMAP/Bauer.

The music magazine ‘NME’ was sold very quickly being distributed by IPC. The ‘NME’ music magazine being the biggest selling weekly. Furthermore it’s well respected.

The music magazine ‘Q’ is distributed by EMAP, however the magazine is not a top seller like other music magazines such as ‘NME’ and ‘Kerrang’.

The music magazine ‘kerrang!’ is a very popular magazine, this magazine’s distribution is EMAP and Bauer. EMAP launched ‘kerrang’ a very long time ago and they’ve been a top selling rock music magazine since 2000.

I would choose …I would chose IPC to distribute my music magazine, as they are well known and run one of the best selling weekly music magazines. Also because the music magazine ‘NME’ has been the best selling weekly music magazine since they began being distributed with ‘IPC media’ . IPC media also launched ‘NME’s’ website in 1996 this has now grown to be Europe’s most successful music website. I would want IPC media as my music magazine distribution, as I think my magazine ‘Echo’ could get big through IPC media as it is very successful in it’s work.

IPC media produces over 60 iconic media brands, this gives them a good reputation. Also IPC offers something for everyone as they focus on three core audiences these are men, mass market women and up market women. ‘NME’ has become a unique multi-platform media proposition. I would want ‘Echo’ to become a multi-platform media proposition. In addition to this ’NME’ is now famous for its industry-leading music news, world exclusives, breadth of reviews, video content and in-depth features. Through IPC ‘NME’ has become well known, I would want my music magazine to become famous just as ‘NME’ have.
