At the end of the session, the trainees are expected to:
Identify correctly the possible threats of terrorism;
Familiarize with the SOP’s and safety precausions before, during, and after a terrorist attack.
As a private security professional your duty is to:
Protect the lives and properties of the client.
Preserve a safe and sound environment.
Maintain the peace and order of your AOR.
enforce access control measures necessary for the safety of your cleints
Indentify the potential threats of terrorism...
It is an unlawfull act of violence
The objective is to create fear
A political act designed by groups to have their message heard
Domestic terrorism involves groups whose terrorist activities are directed at elements of our government without foreign involvement.
International terrorism involves groups whose terrorist activities are foreign-based and/or directed by countries or groups outside the country. Sept. 11 is an example of International Terrorism.

Any anonymous caller reports that a bomb has been placed in an establishment; a hand written, type written , computer printed or paper cut out letters statement or phrase sent or left to broadcast a bomb scare.
Expect every call as bomb threat. Do not panic. Listen attentively to the caller and try to elicit
where the bomb is, what it looks like, who placed the bomb or the time of possible detonation and the reasons.
Keep the caller on the line as long as possible. Record the conversation if necessary. Note the background noises, voices
characteristics, male or female, young or old and tone or accent.
Note the time and duration of the call.
Do not panicTurn off electrical and gas units
when possible.Report immediately to the building
administrator, chief security officer, duty officer or the most ranking senior officer
Call immediate assistance from the nearest military / police office.
Do not panic Evacuate personnel at least 300 feet
away from the bomb. Turn off electrical or gas units. Do not touch or move unknown
objects. Secure the area Call for assistance. Alert EMS for medical services to
include the use of ambulance.
