May God enlighten you, stupid politicians! The surge of knowledge, information, facts and truths are becoming a pressure to the adults who run the country’s government, business, schools, churches and other establishments. I have one example to cite. A true story. The Great Quake that devastated Bohol occurred last October 15, 2013. Then, a few weeks later, the Haiyan (Yolanda) super typhoon devastated our neighbor province, Leyte. Enormous loss of lives and properties brought the nation to its knees. But you know what? The National Government and its leaders continued to give false hope. For example: the National Government announced that time that the Philippine economy grew the fastest ever, next to China. That made you wonder: if not in times of houses devastated, farms covered by tons of mud from flash floods, families losing their loved ones, towns and cities in rubbles and debris – and they declared “HURRAH, WE ARE IN THE PEAK OF ECONOMIC GROWTH EVER EXPERIENCED IN THE COUNTRY!” Ha, ha. What a joke. And what a naughty revelation: The economic growth is for the companies after all! The masses are not the gauge of growth; they can die or get crippled, and still it can be said we are in economic boom! “Thanks government. Go to h_ _ _!” That’s the tune of the people’s sentiments nowadays. This is reinforced by another recent incident. In this time of quakes and storms, where people have no house, no food, no water, no jobs, no farm, none of their loved ones who were lost in the calamities – in this time of great misery, there is a brilliant Congressman from first district of Bohol and who reside in Tagbilaran City – who is very fat, thanks to what he eats – he, this man, who had been a consistent first honor in his grade and high school and college years – this honorable Congressmen, recently passed a law which says, “TO MAKE ADOBO (FRIED MEAT) THE NATIONAL DELICACY”! In this time of hunger and cold, disease and extreme poverty! He was able to think about that!
