• Located 660 miles SW of southern tip of Baja California, Mexico

• Moving N at 8 mph

• This motion expected to continue today with decrease in forward

speed; turn NE and further decrease in speed on Tues

• Maximum sustained winds 100 mph (Category 2)

• Gradual weakening forecast today; rapid weakening Tues

• Expected to weaken to tropical storm by Tues

• Hurricane force winds extend 25 miles

• Tropical storm force winds extend 70 miles
