Who Are We?

• Northern Virginia Trade Association for companies engaged inthe “heavy construction” industry.

• Formed in 1957, today the HCCA is comprised of over 23,000employees from firms across all facets of the heavy trades.

• HCCA’s members represent the “full value chain” for the industry:• Underground Utility Contractors• Heavy Paving Companies• Quarries, concrete and asphalt plants• Highway and bridge builders• Site Development• Associated service and product providers to the industry

What do we do for our members?• Ensure good communications between member firms and the General Assembly

and Municipal and Local regulatory bodies.

• Lobby for legislation and are involved in regulations related to the heavyconstruction trades.

• Keep our members appraised of important business and political issues.

• Provide important training programs on a broad range of subject areas –especially in the areas of safety and regulatory compliance

• Create a network or interaction within the “heavy trades” industry
